Would Lopez use his powerful punches to batter Rondon for a TKO win 11 under the 15 round bout and take his WBA Light Heavyweight Title? Imo, yes Lopez would batter Rondon, but what do you guys think?

I don't know much about Rondon, but based on what I do know, I doubt he could handle Lopez. That's because Yaqui was an exceptional contender, the kind of fighter who would have been a champion himself except that his division was flooded so many great boxers when he was active.
Remember: during Lopez's prime, he lost tough bouts against Mike Spinks, who was definitely an ATG, and several other guys who were near-ATG's. Victor Galindez and Matthew Saad Muhammad were definitely near-ATG's. John Conteh and James were pretty damned good themselves, although not ATG or near-ATG material. Further, Yaqui's route to the top was blocked by several dominant fighters who he never met, such as Dwight Muhammad Qawi (a near-ATG) and Marvin Johnson.
So, my point is that we would all remember Yaqui Lopez as a champion -- possibly a long-term one -- except that his division was so unusually competitive. For this reason, I put him above Rondon in ability.
Also, be aware that Lopez was not a powerful hitter. Not even close. He was more of an average to slightly below-average puncher. Lopez achieved his knockouts because of his extraordinary combination punching ability. Few fighters could put their shots together the way Lopez did.

The need shall be met! Here's hoping no one was hurt during the time these invasive thoughts were imposed upon our peaceful historical reflections.
Everyone Move along.....nothing to see here.
And I'm guessing most people would favor Rondon….but not this writer.
