I mostly agree with Daggy.
Differences being;

Ortiz by mid KO. He is smart enough to make adjustments. I'm not sure Wilder is.

Dave Allen by early KO. Dave knows how vulnerable Price is, but will probably stop him to the body.

Kownacki by wide UD. Chris is tough enough to hang, though not busy enough to win rounds.

Yep. Old man Ortiz is wiley enough to know his limitations, and Wilders. When he studies their previous fight, he will see how close he came. It's do or die for him career wise on the big money fights- so I recon he goes for it.

I wouldn't be surprised though. Ortiz was really close the first time. a lot of people used to think that Joshua and Wilder are unbeatable but we already know it's a myth. so i don't think that Kiwi's prediction is very shocking.

Ortiz is a smarter fighter no doubt the question is how much his age already affected his physical condition.

Wilder will take him out earlier. You folks really underestimate his improvements.

he had two fights since then, in what specific ways did he improve

he will stop him earlier though

He showed less inclination to go windmill. He had Breazeale in the corner and when Breazeale fought back (showing he wasn't as hurt as Wilder thought), Deontay showed the discipline to back off and reset. Those are two pretty good improvements.

i think your looking for things

and he did trade with him and then got caught btw, thats when he backed off a little

Ortiz is a very live underdog, i predict Wilder to win though.. i don't know if he improved that much, imo he lost to Fury (no shame in that) then he blasted out Breazeale who was tailor made for him with his lack of defence and chin up

Of course I'm looking for things. I do that every time I watch a fight. Those are two things I saw.

i just dont really take a fight as short as that as a good barometer for improvement--seems like an active seeking out of it. and he did trade in the corner and got caught.

yeah Wilder got caught by slow Breazeale, what he showed in this fight is his huge punching power but we already knew that.

that being said i agree that he is a better fighter than he was 3-4 years ago. i just don't think he improved a lot since Ortiz fight.

Ortiz won't see 4.

If he goes for it, Wilder takes him out pronto. You don't slug with Wilder.

Yep. Brazeale pulled out a punch from the brink. Wilder got caught and backed off.
Wilder did try a body shot or 3 and landed one. That was kinda new.

Wilder said post fight that one of his punches landed wrong and he hurt his elbow in that first flurry.

If you look at the exchange in the corner, it looks like Breazeale hits Wilder on an extended left arm.

so his elbow pain and not this great new ring iq shown in a 60 second fight is why he stopped trading wildly?

and lol previously a hurt elbow was used as the excuse why he didnt throw straight much vs fury but then did throw it vs breazle, so what is it my bombsquadders?

I didn't say he disengaged because of it. I said it looked like he got hit on the arm. Gadfly.

ah okay, though if its true he messed his elbow harder to by the reasoning that his elbow explains the difference in punch tequinche between fury and dom fights

What are you talking about? His right arm had been injured before the Fury fight, and in the Breazeale fight he said he hurt his left. You're not even making sense. You sipping some hard stuff??

my bad, but either way if hes backing off out of pain thats not really a sign of improvement

besides its not like how you described, he did get into a wild exchange . improvement of ring iq? if thats what you want to think might as well go for it and see it bruh
