Former Joe Gallagher prospect Morrison squares off against former European Middleweight champ Blandamura live on Sky this Thursday, both guys still campaigning at 160, strange career Morrison's had he was coming along nicely blowing away everyone coming up the ranks, no scalps but the convincing way he was dealing with journeymen suggested he would at least make British/Commonwealth level, a fair few 1st round KOs but then lost to Welborn in what was seen at the time as a fairly big shock, Welborn went on to take his career to another level so in hindsight not a bad loss at all for Morrison, the losses to Tyan Booth and Alistair Warren are more damaging though and probably suggest Morrison wont go far or hasn't been the most dedicated?

All 3 of Blandamura's losses have been by KO, obviously Saunders blew him away years ago to win the European and Soro and Murata both stopped him as well. no disgrace in those defeats, Morrison is gonna need a career best win to pull this off, I fancy Blandamura to outbox him

Morrison was seen as a bit of a prospect once upon a time until he took a bit of a beating from Welborn, since then it seems to have gone from bad to worse for him. He even has a loss to unofficial Echo falls spokesman Tyan Booth.

Blandamura is a solid former EBU champ and should have too much for Morrison.

Although, Blandamura has been stopped a couple times by not particularly big punchers, maybe Morrison's only chance is to make him lay on his own leg.

Bet Tyan Booth is gutted.

Diamante incorrectly announces the winner as European champion and not the EU champion. That said, you can't put it past any boxing organization not to actually upgrade a title during a fight so you never know
