Felix Sturm will not box Trinidad and Hopkins in 2005!

The offers from Arum and King were too bad. Kohl said no way. Felix waits either for a mandatory challenge fight or as long as the WBO will take away Hopkins' belt.

So a fight Hopkins vs. Eastman would be logic.

He's obviously hoping he goes up in the rankings.

This could just be haggling over money though. I am sure that Hop would rather take on Sturm than Eastman, easier fight on paper.

If Hopkins vacates the WBO or is stripped Eastman v Sturm is a good match. I can see Sturm outworking Eastman to be honest.

did you guys recognize that the wbc put Trinidad in front of Eastman? that´s unfair IMO.

i have the feeling that these guys are more corrupt than the WBO. why e.g. did they rank Meehan at #5?

Danny Williams is #7. though i´m no fan of him i would say it is a shame that he is behind Meehan who didn´t do nothing but losing to Brewster.....

The WBC have become flagrant in the ridiculousness of their rankings in recent years, but let's face it, most of the sanctioning bodies base their rankings on their associations with certain promoters, and how much money people can generate for them in sancioning fees.

it has something to do with the Tyson-Meehan-fight next year I think. because the WBC wants Tyson to face Vitali. so Tyson would have a better ranking....
