Figured we could have a catch all thread in here as well for small discussions that don't really call for a thread.

Cejudo is a moron. He calls out Faber after defeating Moraes. Faber accepts his call out after defeating Simon. Cejudo then sends a message to Faber telling him to travel to some foreign land, get down on a knee, and beg for a shot.

Why the fornicate did he call out Faber then. Dude is a tard of the highest order.

He's calling out sevchenko & Nunez. I hate him at an Anderson Silva level now.

Didn't see the fight, but apparently Colby completely dominated Lawler. This division is very interesting.

i like\liked the old rules of the ufc and the NHB organizations as a whole in the 90's much more then today. since 2002 the ufc is full of early stand ups and way overhyped matches. pretty much wrestling with punches and kicks. the 31 watered down rules are total bs

I'd like to see for one night only a return to the openweight "David and Goliath" tournament, where there is no rounds but a 15 minute time limit. Have the small guys go up against the big guys, etc--- and I suspect in the end it would either be a middleweight or a light heavyweight ending up winning the tournament.

that sounds great to me, i still remember ufc 8 where 410lbs Thomas Ramirez claimed to be 200 and 0 in island fights then after Thomas lands one punch Don Frye@ 206lbs knocked him out in eight seconds with a right hook to the Jaw. almost 26 years later and Ramirez might have woken up from that ko

That's right. The best UFC events were its first ones. And, indeed, in the 90s there also were fun NHB events outside of the US. There were entertaining fights in Holland and Russia. A one of the most memorable nights for me is the first M-1 tourney in St Petersburg, Russia. The Dutch butcher Bob Schrijber rock-and-rolled there. I remember watching Bob's fights on the cable TV in the early 2000s.

Right. And they could wear more or less what they wanted - gis, trunks, t shirts. Also the hands could be completely bare or gloved. Head stamps, headbutts, almost all strikes legal. These events had so much more colour and randomness.
