How did it go in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure"? I say we kill him! No, I say we hang him first and then kill him!
We don't even know what the alleged drug was. Maybe it was just pot, in which case the ban was ridiculous. Or maybe the guy was shooting heroin into his arms and slurping steroids by the bottle.

I apologize for my sense of humor, but lethal injection could be a logical way to go with the doper having the right to choose some of the ingredients

I imagine it will be 6 months depending on what the drug is, very disappointed because these drugs only enter your system if you are willingly ingesting them I don't buy the contamination or nasal spray stories anymore!

2 years was for the first offence. This time it is supposed to be 8 years.
This source says 4 years:

It's a farce.
Boxing is so fragmented that one commission could ban him and he could just fight under another commission. And 6 month bans are worthless and no incentive to stop. Top fighters only tend to fight twice a year anyway these days.
Has anyone actually banned Miller yet or is he just lying low for a while?
In a week where two boxers have died its sad that the boxing authorities won't make a stand on PEDs. If guilty I hope they do the right thing and this marks a permanent fight against widespread ped use at the top level

The WBA gave him a 6-month suspension. Related: Miller's boxing license was NYSAC was apparently expired at the time that he tested positive, so they couldn't suspend him. Instead, all NYSAC can do is not renew his license. I think Miller still has a valid and not suspended license with Illinois State Athletic Commission.

Whyte will be suspended until Fury-Wilder II is announced.

I’m just speculating here, but I have a hunch that Whyte may have failed a UKAD test, but successfully passed the VADA testing. If I'm right, then this might explain the reason why VADA didn’t inform the WBC of Whyte’s adverse test results.
In terms of UKAD and the BBBofC, the process they follow to determine a fighters’ guilt of consuming PED’s is notoriously slow.
For instance: it took UKAD and the BBBofC almost three years to process the Tyson Fury situation (i.e. February 2015 to December 2017). And ‘The Gypsy King’ was allowed to retain his license and was cleared to compete for the majority of that timeframe.
But here’s the deal, UKAD and the BBBofC are compelled by their own rules to deem Dillian Whyte as being “innocent” until the entire appeals process has played out, with the duration of the whole procedure potentially lasting a year or two.
And assuming ‘The Body Snatcher’ successfully passed his VADA tests, which superficially appears to be the case (based on the WBC’s recent statement), then what’s preventing Dillian Whyte from continuing his career and pursuing his title-shot?
From the WBC’s perspective, if VADA, UKAD and the BBBofC
currently consider Dillian Whyte as being “innocent” of committing any wrongdoing, then I don’t see how Mauricio Sulaiman’s organisation can have any grounds to punish the Brit.

We don't know if he's guilty or not, yet, but it was a UKAD test, for a fight under BBBoC jurisdiction.
The standard UKAD punishments (they ban directly, unlike VADA who only report findings), are a 4 year suspension for a first offence, which is reduced to 2 years if the fighter can show they weren't cheating deliberately (contaminated supplements, nasal sprays, wild boar, Mexican beef - take your pick).
Double those numbers for a second offence, but harsher bans can be given for more serious cases (up to life), and more leniency shown if the substance is not performance enhancing.
As examples, Canelo would have been banned for 2 years under UKAD rules. Miller would have had anything between 8 and life.
UK testing probably isn't as stringent as VADA, and there are recent examples of UKAD dragging out investigations far too long, but penalties are much more severe. Mainly because the testing agency has the power to ban directly, so you have one single body with overall control, whereas in America, it's left to the commissions. The commissions rarely want to do much, because they're all competing with each other to host the big fights. Ditto for the alphabets.

Agreed, but Dillian Whyte had to pay $40K to undergo VADA testing for the entirety of his training camp, which Eddie Hearn claimed lasted fourteen weeks.
So Dillian was tested by VADA and UKAD. And by the souds of it, he passed the VADA testing.

That's all true. Whatever was in his system must have been something short lived, and probably in a tiny quantity, or I'd be amazed if it didn't show up on more than one test (not knowing the exact testing schedule).
Some kind of contaminant is likely, although that still gets him 4 years if UKAD follow their policy. He'd be incredibly stupid to cheat deliberately, with 2 sets of testing going on.

What it sounds like is that he passed two tests that week or prior and then failed a third test by UKAD on the 17th.

May be difficult for any HW to want to fight Whyte in UK at all. Or any fighter to fight in the UK who isn't from there.
