A film is in the works to recreate the life story of the infamous hardman Paul Sykes, ex British heavyweight contender.

A true character with a, lets say, colourful life, if the producers get this right, it should be a good watch.

There was a good documentary made on Sykes many moons ago that can still be tracked down on YouTube. Its well worth a watch for anyone who's interested and not yet seen it.

Sykes was a sadistic piece of sh!t who deserves no glorification. He wouldve raped all your sons.

As would the Krays, and a whole host of other sadistic madmen, but fascinating characters they are, hence the myriad of books, films, documentaries etc.

The scene in the Sykes documentary where he got married was one of the weirdest, most depressing things I’ve ever seen.

Both of his boys in this clip went on to commit murder. He was clearly a very bad influence on their lifes.

Why would anyone want to watch a film about this bloke? The documentary was comical because of how weird it was, some very strange characters and quirky stuff in there made it amusing, if not a bit depressing, especially the weddding scene above, and the scenes with his kids. The man seemed an absolute bully scumbag.
No redeeming features whatsoever and a bullshitter. Quite comical though without intending to be, well, for those watching, not so much for weaker people in his company!

Peter fury was in jail with him and said he was a sexual deviant.

If he couldn't get a woman a mans tightly clenched arse hole would suffice.

As far as cell mates go, getting flung in with this lunatic must have been quite a few peoples living nightmare over the years.

My mate's parents actually know him, as in, been round his house and stuff and have spoken to him. I forgot to ask about him the last time I saw them both.

AHH I love the Sykes posts. Next time I'm in Wakey I'm off to see his gravestone.

I've loads of stories from people some not in any of his books written by Jamie Boyle.

Love him or hate him he's folklore.

Jamie Boyle is knocking out plenty of books, a couple on Lee Duffy and a soon to be released documentary on Duffy too.

I've told Boyle he needs to research and write about The Guvnor, Shaun Cummins.
