after the WBC stripped Tarver the title off, a fight between #1 and #2 will be expected. Another german World Champion !?!?!

Ulrich the better boxer but i feel he lacks a bit of mental strength and if he finds himself taking heavy shots he may crumble

I dont really know if he is the better boxer, he was loosing to Branco.

I think it's a shame that their titles are being stripped, the two men are a natural to face one another. Fair play to them, they are taking one another on, and I think the winner deserves to be called the best in the division, at least for now.

I'm glad they both gave up their titles. Tarver will surely move up once he deals with Johnson anyway.

I actually doubt it will be Ulrich or the #3 ranked (forgot his name). It will probably be the #4 ranked Adamek the will fight Briggs. Why you ask? They are both Don King boxers.

WBA number 3, if tiozzo beats D-Man (unlikely) he could be next???

IBF number 4, could be inline for Hoye V Woods winner if that happens.

WBO number 1, wont fight his team mate Erdei I guess, but should Erdei lose anytime soon, you know that Ulrich will get first shot at the guy

Universum has it on their homepage. so i think that there is something behind it. maybe there are already negotiattions. Kohl was in the US. Woods would be no problem for Thomas, but why should he fight him? the direct way for a title bout would be easier. WBO is irrealistic because i don´t see anybody in this division (maybe except Tarver) who can beat Erdei.

I don't think he's gonna deal with Johnson. Unless he knocks him out, I think Johnson is going to outpoint him.

Maybe James. But personally I don't expect Tarver to be unduly flustered by Johnsons workrate. The real quality, hard punches will all be coming from Tarver. This is what I predict will win the rounds for him. Of course it'll be no walk in the park though.

i don´t rate Johnson that high like almost all of my british friends. so i would see a KO from Tarver or a 12 rounder by PTS for Tarver. Johnson is good boxer but not top world class in this division.

Lest we forget, Tarver lost to Richard Hall before he got his shot at Jones Jr. Johnson is also not that easy to tag with a clean shot, I think Tarver may have the guns to stop him, but Johnson's only ever been stopped once in his career, and that was a real dismantling by B-hop.

have you seen the Hopkins V Johnson fight???? I have never seen it. Always assumed it was a wear down job on a tight at the weight Johnson?!?!

Tarver has maybe good stamina and a good KO punch. Johnson is just a good boxer. IMO Erdei would beat them both.

I just don't go along with the idea that Tarver can only beat Johnson by stopping him. Johnson is a great old warrior who can work all night, but he misses a lot and his punches aren't exactly dynamite at top level anyway.

yes, Johnson is overestimated and is not the MAN in this division.

Wasn't it Eric Harding he lost too? Anyway i would welcome Briggs V Ulrich but i tip Briggs to stop him, a fight i would watch would be Briggs-Hoye, Hoye i expect will beat Woods anyway so it could be on the cards sometime soon.
