Golovkin and Dev should fight. Good, action fight. Much better than anything Andrade would be involved in.

I seriously doubt that GGG would consider facing Sergiy Derevyanchenko.

If Gennadiy Golovkin is unable to secure a bout against Canelo next, then he won’t face anyone notable, despite there being an abundance of talent competing at 160lbs or 168lbs.

I’m not pretending that GGG is fearful of the challenge posed by Derevyanchenko, but Gennadiy is now a businessman and he’ll employ a risk averse commercial strategy intended to ensure his mega-money Canelo payday cannot possibly be derailed.

So it seems inevitable that the IBF will order a bout between GGG and Derev, which is a direct consequence of “No Canelo vs Derevo”.
