Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - September 14, 2019

Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Otto Wallin have come to terms to meet on Sept. 14, Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti told ESPN on Friday.
The fight, which will headline a Top Rank Boxing on ESPN+ card, will take place at an MGM property in Las Vegas, meaning the MGM Grand Garden Arena, T-Mobile Arena or Mandalay Bay Events Center, Moretti said.
"The paperwork is being drafted, but there is an agreement," Moretti said.
Top Rank chairman Bob Arum and Wallin promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions have been talking about the possibility of the bout for about a week, Moretti said.
Other available fighters Top Rank discussed as a possible opponent for Fury included former world title challenger Johann Duhaupas (37-5, 24 KOs) of France and New Zealand's unbeaten-but-untested Junior Fa (18-0, 10 KOs).
Fury (28-0-1, 20 KOs), 30, of England, will fight for the second time since signing a co-promotional deal with Top Rank in February. He debuted for the company, which co-promotes him with allegedly, on June 15 and knocked out Germany's then-unbeaten Tom Schwarz in the second round at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on ESPN+.
"I think it's great Tyson Fury wants to get right back in the ring and stay active," Moretti said. "It's something uncommon nowadays."
A Fury victory would set him up for an already-agreed-upon rematch with world titleholder Deontay Wilder in early 2020. Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs), who fought to a controversial draw with Fury on Dec. 1 in Los Angeles, also is scheduled for an interim bout. He is supposed to face Luis "King Kong" Ortiz in a rematch that likely will take place on Nov. 9 at a site to be determined.
The untested Wallin (20-0, 13 KOs), 28, of Sweden, made his U.S. debut in his last fight, a first-round no-contest against journeyman Nick Kisner on April 13 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. That Showtime-televised fight ended because Kisner suffered a bad cut caused by an accidental head butt and was unable to continue.

It’s strange.. if this fight is made, Fury would have fought 2 European boxers in USA..

Really doesn't make a difference, Americans don't know any of these heavyweights.

Well... He hasn't got more then 1 round the last year... so... But then again getting a shot at Fury ain't all bad if your swedish.
But! I hope that Wallin will shows us that he might belong among the big boys, and in that way this fight is good for him!

His luck is turning around at least as far as the amount of money he's gonna make goes I'm sure. That being said he was gonna win his 2 fights that he lost out on. He's gonna lose this one in spectacular fashion, but he'll be well compensated.

I thought Bob Arum's plans were to make Tyson Fury a household name in the States...not sure how, considering he's planning to box another European no-name...

Im gonna watch this.
But yeah, Wallin got no name. Have no clue how Arum gonna sell this. Might be just another showcase fight for Fury.
Still tough, been like 58 years since a swede got a crack at the lineal championship claim in heavyweight.
Nice thou, two guys from Sweden each got a crack at a lineal claim in a short amount of time. Im pretty happy. But Otto gonna have K2 to claim not Kebnekaise.
And hope he gets paid good for this. Cause it gonna hurt as hell.

What's the difference? Wilder isn't a household name in the States. He's just delaying losing money on the ppv and doing what he can to save money.

Didn't Arum promise a top 5 fighter? Wallin is ranked 4 by the WBA. ANother joke. Uncle Bob will be talking that up I'm sure, but it won't matter. Can't see this fight selling.

Wilder must have made the big names refuse to fight. Slim will fill us in.

Poor guy is regressing. It's almost like a man refusing to admit his girl is cheating when there's video of her giving head.

He should just recluse himself from any Wilder discussion.

Or just admit he was wrong. That's never easy, god knows it isn't for me, but I've never been so off my rocker and refused to cave. At the very least, like you said, he should at least try to stop regurgitating the same novels of crap like there is a leg to stand on.

Fighting twice on an app instead of ESPN the channel is slowing his momentum not making him well known to American fans.

At least his choice of ragging isn't about Vitali. If someone shows me I was mistaken, I've never had an issue admitting it. Done it plenty on here!

Apparently got the rematch with Wilder all set for next year and people are surprised he's not fighting some top level, well known opponent six weeks from today...
