Just rewatched the semis. One thing is obvious; the nastiest dudes at cruiser made the finals.

Dorticos should be a bigger star. He insists on action. He is rough and aggressive to the borderline.

Briedis takes no sh!t

Both good boxers. Dorticos has very good power. Briedis has sneaky pop. Dorticos aggression leads to openings that Briedis may be able to turn the fight on. That will depend on the Latvian’s ability to earn the Cuban’s respect.

It is going to be a rough fight. There will be rabbit punches, low blows, and grappling. There will also be plenty of action.

I really hope that Dorticos takes this one. I am just bit worried that Briedis might be too much for him.

I also hope that the fight is not in Latvia. Briedis can probably bring hes baton in the ring there and get away with it

Hand on heart, don't think the WBSS survives the business model has been a disaster will be surprised if it is back next season!

It has been really good for the fans tho... We have gotten some really good matches out from it

Should be a relatively easy win for Briedis

This year will likely be the last one for WBSS.

I've been big on dorticos for many years. Slight edge to breidis as he's a bit tighter, but it will be a war.

The dangerous thing about Dorticos is that he holds his power into the deep end.

I hope that Yuniel will KO the Latvian cheater. But they will fight in Riga so I'm not going to watch it.

Briedis too compact for him... Dorticos has the KTFO hook but it needs to be established.. Briedis hands are underrated.. Dorticos doesn't have the style required to beat him

Very good fight, Dort is stronger and longer but more predictable with that right hand over and over again, and often telegraphed from a wide angle. Briedis is messy and I don't think as physically strong, but he can still punch well and is more complex as a fighter. Briedis also seems to hold a shot a bit better and I've never seen him down or hurt like Dort has been.

Could go either way, but the odds being in favour of Briedis make sense.

I like Dorticos as a fighter although I strongly favour Briedis. Briedis was somewhat elusive in his fight against Usyk. I feel like he will be able to predict and evade the one twos of Dorticos, frustrate him on the inside by crowding and grabbing, etc. Dorticos has a punchers chance imo.
