Watched this on Netflix the other day, it was pretty interesting I thought, following the careers of three fighters, an amateur trying to qualify for the olympics at a late age, a title contender and former world middleweight champion (quillin), and a young upstart, Chris Colbert.

Worth a watch.

Colbert looked to have talent in spades, turned pro at 18, he is still active, but only just starting to fight fighters with winning records. He looked to be the type who could turn out to be another Broner, time will tell, but definitely got all the talent he needs.

Sounds good, will give it a watch once I’ve finished mind hunter - fk that’s good also.

Just watched this, pretty enjoyable. Colbert looks talented, quite a cocky character but obviously very young - sparring with Payano knocked him down a peg at the time it seemed!

Watched it last night - worth watching.

I had a laugh when De la Hoya had a rant about fighters relinquishing their titles as Peter Quillin had done. There’s a famous one he’s promoting that did the same thing soon after.

Al Harmon’s decision/guidance to protect Quillin doesn’t seem to have been the best decision regarding his boxing longevity. Allowing him time off to essentially go soft, however he did receive what seems to be good money.

The amateur boxer ‘Awesome’ was an interesting character. The amateur scene is brutal. Multiple fights, no head guards which leads to cuts....
