Fury is staying safe until he can cash out vs Wilder.

He never had a drug ban.

He had a back dated 2 year ban (or period of ineligibility as UKAD phrased it) from 13 December 2015 for elevated levels of the banned anabolic steroid of choice, Nandrolone. The positive test was from Feb 2015. Hughie Fury was also banned. They blamed eating uncastrated wild boar or some such nonsense.

I always found that wording a bit odd, wild Boar live in the wild (as their name suggests), obviously they have not been castrated.

I get your point, but what if Fury would fight at least a semi legitimate opponent with some credentials, say like Lucas Brown or someone, and Ruiz and Joshua would stop bickering. Meanwhile Joshua is losing weight like crazy, maybe getting down to almost cruiser weight, like Wilder. Boxing is nuts, but like Mick Foley the wrestler said, the real world is even nuttier and much faker (like the whole Epstein business for instance!).

I didn't say anything about a ban.

Lucas Browne is shot to pieces, and Joshua is going to be nowhere near 200 pounds.

How so? I didn't see that fight in March but it says that Browne won a narrow points decision in an only six round fight, but was knocked down once. It must surely have been meant to be a nothing tuneup comeback fight for Browne and a shocker that he was knocked down by the much smaller Polish guy with the losing record. Was the Polish guy robbed by the judges, the usual in boxing?

Soko was robbed. To me he clearly won that fight.

It was at worst 58-55 for Sokołowski. Clear robbery. But the judges couldnt give the decision to him because Browne already had a scheduled fight vs Allen.
