Why not Canelo vs Gvozdyk/Beterbiev winner @175 lbs? That would be an ATG statement from Canelo.

If Canelo still wants to move up at 175 and fight a lhw champion, why he doesn't go for the best, undefeated lhw champion to make a solid point ? Kovalev is old and he got defeated two times by Ward and once by Eleider Alvarez by KO.

Same thing at smw. He fought Rocky Fielding, instead of Callum Smith. Maybe Canelo wanted to test the waters. Who knows.

What are the typical audience figures and fight purses for the likes of Oleksandr Gvozdyk and Artur Beterbiev in comparison to the numbers generated by Sergey Kovalev's?

Do you feel that Oleksandr Gvozdyk and Artur Beterbiev have better legacies than the future Hall-of-Famer, Sergey Kovalev?

And to be perfectly honest, do you think that Artur Beterbiev would be competitive against Canelo, after watching the Callum Johnson bout?

Canelo is a 5’ 8” former super lightweight. You can’t expect him to keep facing guys a hell of a lot bigger than himself, whilst you’re also cheerleading the likes of GGG, who is unwilling to face 175lb-ers, because he prefers to compete in his 160lbs comfort zone.

Because they are dangerous and haven't shown obvious weaknesses like Kovalev. Canelo is also ignoring Bivol who is even ready to go down to 168 to face him.

Vanes Martirosyan and Steve Rolls? You supported GGG for facing these guys.

But Canelo is being criticised for trying to face Sergey Kovalev?

You talk straight from your as.s, son. :OhYes:

What are the typical audience figures and fight purses for the likes of Rocky Fielding in comaparasion to the numbers generated by Callum Smith or Eubank Jr ? Has Rocky Fieldind a better HOF legacy than Callum Smith or Eubank Jr? Was Rocky Fielding a midget? See the point, son ?

Also GGG's missions are at 160 lbs as he stated. Canelo said that he wants to go up in weight and fight at 175 lbs. So why not fighting the best?

BTW, GGG is gonna fight a top dangerous mw that many armchair-detractors said that he is avoiding him. :TU:

If Canelo wants to really show his bottle he'd step up and take on Callum Smith. Would sell out Wembley. But will he want to come out of his comfort zone?

True. Those guys are too dangerous and young for the gingerhead who wants to be 'great' by fighting washed up 168 and 175 lbs champions. That's some safety 'daring to be great' marketing b.s maneuver. lol

He'd be moving up 2 divisions to fight a top 3 LHW , a 4-5 inch taller, much naturally bigger former unified champ who is clearly better than your standard world level guy. Ridiculous to put shade on that fight.

Would you be more excited if Canelo had fought Derev :maybe:

Also Canelo was supported for facing guys like Rocky Fielding, Liam Smith, chiny-washed up ww Amir Khan, washed up Angulo and old-washed up Mosley. :OhYes: How great does that sound? lol

Tell me Apollo, would you like Canelo-Derev more than Canelo-Kovalev?

Kovalev is an winnable valuable scalp for Canelo. Just like Martinez was for Cotto. Picking the soft champion in a higher division it doesn't make your legacy great just because you ballooned up in weight.

I'd like more to see Canelo fighting Callum Smith since Canelo has a semi title at 168 lbs.

Nothing wrong with Canelo picking the biggest name and most vulnerable guy at 75. I'm not convinced kov wins Saturday. Cotto was a underdog, I was one of the only people here picking him.

Canelo-Kovalev has some intrigue in it because of Kovalev's weak body. Canelo-Derevo would be an uneventful 12-rounder similar to Canelo-Cotto.

I don't expect a 37-year old Canelo to fight anybody as good as Derevo though.

Canelo would probably retire at 35.

Has mostly been picking on faded versions of formerly "top opposition". In particular, refused to face younger Golovkin.

He fought Cotto and Khan at 155 lbs for the "World Boxing Council World Middle Title". Then he fought Liam Smith and already beaten and washed up version of JCCJr. Very strong opposition, indeed. lol
