Meldrick Taylor was not the same guy after that brutal fight with the great Julio Cesar Chavez.

If Buster Douglas comes prepared the same way as in Tokyo, I would have not been surprised if he wins again. Especially, with those goofy-goofy guys like Aaron Snowell and Jay Wright in Iron Mike's corner.

Oscar De La Hoya won the first fight in my view, but not that convincingly. He didn't close the show like he should. Both fighters didn't do anything. A rematch? I wouldn't watch it and I don't care the outcome. None of the two were all that in my view.

Douglas would repeat, if he would be in shape.

Taylor would repeat without getting KOed.

De La Hoya would fight with more effort and win by decision.

I agree with Dr Duke...…..

…….but it is based on the same general dynamic as the Tokyo fight being in place, namely Douglas being fit and focussed and Tyson still being in a bad place in terms of his lifestyle and stuck with the toxic Carl and Don King.

Six months after the first fight and with a re-match immediately imposed by King I could see Douglas remaining away from the fridge and knowing that he'd need to box even better than the first time.

Put the fight back in Tokyo - which Tyson apparently despised and the Kings making him unhappy and not really giving him the camp he needed to get fully firing - and a repeat result looks credible rather than fantastical.

Tyson: If he learned and gets some cornermen and trains, which I think would have happened. Won't have to bring any condoms in the rematch. Mike still had pride back then.

Chavez: He wrecked Taylor for good in the first fight.

Douglas v Tyson II. Tokyo Buster was a one shot deal, he never performed anywhere near that level before or after his big win. Iron Mike destroys him in 3.

Chavez v Taylor II. Taylor has to change his tactics to avoid damage, but by being less aggressive his chances for winning are drastically reduced. Chavez wins a clear decision in a less entertaining fight.

Trinidad v De La Hoya II. Oscar has to fight more aggressively this time, but Tito is the wrong guy to trade with. Trinidad pulls it out late, more convincingly this time.

View right on, ubt I think Oscar picks his spots more wisely and wins a UD in a better fought match for him.
