Super Welter/Middle Clay Collard, also a UFC Fighter, is on an extremely impressive run! 7 fights in the last four months against undefeated or one loss prospects. In those seven fights he is 3-1-3, only losing to Quinton Randall, who represented USA @ 152lbs for several years. His two recent fights (in the last two weeks) were victories over Dushane Crooks (13-1) & Gerald Sherrell (10-1), who participated in the recent edition of The Contender. This is pretty unique and impressive! The 3 draws are also pretty unique, I've been following his run as a B-Side and can't wait to see who he fights next!

Nice, this is how you earn your money in professional boxing. It is not all about world championships and making millions. Good luck to him !

I seen this kid fight G5 Sherrell at the Meadows. Pure domination.
Sherrell came out really cocky and got dropped in the 1st round.
Personally, I think the ref should have stopped it in the 1st, but since G5 is a local
the ref gave him some time. I dont think that was a good thing. Collard beat
the brakes off of him. Hopefully G5 is ok.
It was surely a wake up call for G5.
The Contender is still on tv? I hadnt seen that since it was on tv with Alphonso Gomez.
I like this kid Collard. He wasnt cocky. Just a true blue bad a**!

Just upsetted another prospect last night, Quashawn Toler, a Welterweight who was 9-0 (7KOs)
Collard is a true fighter, in his last fight he fought all the way up at LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT against Uzbekistan’s ‘16 Olympic Silver Medalist Bektemir M. He went 4 rounds in that fight before being stopped, not bad.

Steve ain't so krazy after all. He was onto something with this guy. Not sure how far he can go, but last nights fight was so entertaining I think anybody who sees it would definitely agree they wanna see the guy fight again.
What's Clay's MMA record anyway just out of curiosity

He's 17-8 with 1 nc. He used to be on the UFC's roster. Not bad boxing for a mixed martial artist.

Must be extra painful to lose to him if you're a boxing extremist. He can beat you in 'your' sport plus obviously kick your ass in MMA

True. He's been putting it on some undefeated youngsters lately too. Dude's already had 2 pro boxing matches this year.

Collard is a DOG! Can't believe he survived that RNC at the end of round one.

Ahaha thanks for the shout! He had also defeated one of my manager’s fighters so we’ve spoken about Collard on many occasions! Of what I hear he’s a humble person & he mainly has been fighting so regularly as a B-Side because his goal was to improve his boxing skills before entering major competitions again in MMA. Much to everyone’s surprise, maybe even his, he has been on fire since last May & he’s fought some really good fighters all the way from 147 to 175. He’s a fighter’s fighter. I’ve been extremely intrigued by his run, it’s rare.

Hell from the looks of it he may be better suited to Box than he was for MMA. Whatever he does I hope he finds the success and the money he's looking for.
I don't think I've ever watched a PFL event, but I'd try to watch if I knew Collard was on it. He's made a fan of me.
That being said, I hope he keeps boxing.

If he can improve his defense, then he can make some decent money for a living with his boxing skills. I love when underdog expose fake undefeated prospects

He certainly can I'd think. Defense is probably one of the skills that advances for guys the most with experience, and training. Young guys might underestimate the importance of it, but a veteran fighter who's been clocked a few times knows damn well it's a crucial part of the game.
