Looks to me like Toney doesn't really want to face anyone decent in the division other than the main men. I think he is scared he will lose if he fights a top contender.

I've been a fan of Toney since year dot, but I think he will get battered by Klitchsko, and he's too small and slow of foot I think to ensure victory against a big fast handed heavyweight.

If I'm wrong, I would be glad, I'd like to see it proven that bigger isn't neccesarily better.

I think he's probably realised just how big an ask mixing it with the bigger guys in this division really is.

Did those quotes come before or after the Williams/Vitali fight? Because I see that result as a big indication of how a match between Toney and someone like Klitschko would pan out. Maybe he's seen that fight, and thinks the same.

I think he is unwilling to risk taking on some of the other big guys in the division.

The fact that he says he is 'done with the WBC WBA' means he has no intention of working his ratings. I think he willl defend his IBA belt against another patsy in the hope of getting a shot against Vitali.

Toney got dropped in training for the McCline fight. As a heavy he's way overrated. Quite simply against any big heavy who can punch he will be in a world of hurt. He's a lucky man he got injured for McCline.

Toney has got talent no question but he talks too much shit for my liking, all talk and no action at the moment with that farcical mismatch against Rydell Booker and beating up Holyfield who is way past it anyway. He hasn't faced anyone remotely threatening at Heavyweight yet and i will reserve judgement on his prospects at the weight until he does.

jup, he is totally overrated in this division because he is american. if he would be european you couldn´t find him in the rankings.
