I thought Eastman had to sort his promoter out by 11/12/2004, or Hopkins was going to fight someone else has the deal been done anyone know.

Good question to ask, i was thinking just the same thing, i hope Eastmans not fucked it up, wunt suprise me if he had.

As far as i know the Hopkins-Eastman deal is done for Feb 2005

It appears that all this talk about rival promoters was utter bollocks. Seems like someone was trying to put a spanner in the works, I get the feeling the WBC would like to see Eastman's challenge to away, as they can make much more money with Hopkins fighting someone else.

the WBC delayed it to the 12/19/2004 to give team Eastman a little bit more time......

Where did all this promoter talk surface from anyway? Was it all a red herring? Eastman seemed settled enough with Hennessy for ages and then suddenly as the biggest fight of his career is about to be signed we get all this talk that he has management differences...it's all a bit weird

i heard the fight with Hopkins is fixed in February
