Usyk vs Spong is a mismatch too, Spong is the ~top 50 level at best, absolutely huge gap in skills between them, also, Usyk will possibly be the slighty bigger guy, they'll be about the same size at best.

I've wanted Spong to step up for a while now, but wasn't expecting this much of a leap! He's going to get battered.

possibly Spong is going to fight the worst HW in the world (blown up, chinny middleweight who got stopped in round 1 by feather fisted MW gatekeeper), and then the best HW in the world (who knows, it's possible that Usyk will be the best out there sooner or later)

This will please assjatc and all of his aliases.

This matchup shows us nothing of how Usyk does in moving up to HW. Unless he has difficulties which is about 99.99% improbable. It's a next day youtube highlight watch.

Yes. I guess he doesn't need to do anything risky. But he needs to get the feel at HW.

Granted Spong's boxing opposition has been nowhere near the level of Usyk, not even in the same league, not even three leagues down, but from what I've seen of him as a kickboxer and boxer he looks dangerous.

When you need a fight fast and an opponent is difficult to sign.

sponge would be an absolute joke as usyk's introduction to the heavyweights.

everybody wants to see usyk against a big, strong heavyweight so he can prove that he can mix it with the big boys ,(which i have no doubt of)

Oh well, it's gone from one of the most exciting prospective fights this year, to one I'll probably never get around to watching

Pretty surprising. I expected Usyk's next opponent to be TBA and Spong's opponent to be a bum.

I like Usyk, He's got a great sense of humor. I don't know why people are demeaning Spong. He has an excellent record in kickboxing and boxing. He looks very dangerous to me.
