Claressa was trying to spin it as "people don't understand how bad I feel about this" and how people should feel sorry for her type thing.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 21:28 I've seen some pieces of sh!t try to defend it....omg Bashir shouldn't have said anything at the weigh in, he was asking for it![]()
Not defending it, but I think that Bashir should've really just let it go. He kept goading him, and there are just some guys who will resort to violence even when surrounded by people in a public place. I wonder if Bashir would've been so keen to goad him if he'd been on his own. Some people you just don't mess with.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 21:28 I've seen some pieces of sh!t try to defend it....omg Bashir shouldn't have said anything at the weigh in, he was asking for it![]()
What was the shouting match and all that sh*t about to begin with?lookingaround87 wrote: ↑09 Oct 2019, 00:01Not defending it, but I think that Bashir should've really just let it go. Probably just the usual trash talking between teams at a weigh in. Had Bashir had a more intimidating entourage with him, I doubt it would've happened.gilgamesh wrote: ↑09 Oct 2019, 00:32What was the shouting match and all that sh*t about to begin with?lookingaround87 wrote: ↑09 Oct 2019, 00:01

Wasn't Shields repeatedly testing the scale before the weigh in? Maybe Bashir thought Shields might have been heavy, and they were trying to cheat the scale somehow?gilgamesh wrote: ↑09 Oct 2019, 00:32What was the shouting match and all that sh*t about to begin with?lookingaround87 wrote: ↑09 Oct 2019, 00:01

Exactly. She's very talented, but the behavior of those around her (along with her own actions -- cheering the sucker punch of another fighter chief among them) make it a questionable investment for Showtime. No one really cares about how good she is and she's not much of a role model to point at (as Showtime attempted to initially portray her as), so why take the time to put her on the air?
Deranged people come from all over the USA, I'm afraid. Putting the blame on the water crisis in Flint is a bit ridiculous.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 07:43 Funnily enough I ended up watching a Michael Moore documentary on Netflix about how the people of Flint were all lead poisoned because their corrupt governor changed their water supply. It's not surprising the Shields family, the Dirrells and all the respective entourages are all sort of mental and deformed. I read in Boxing News that the sister is the main problem, so I looked her up and she is the youngest sister and looks about a 100 years old. She has a son called 'Fatdaddy' or something like that. Their dad is called Bo. That's genuinely his listed name. America is weird. The deprivation in some areas is off the charts. Any internet biog you find shows that they're not normal, so you can't judge them by normal standards. In the UK we have extreme poverty and violent areas, but it's always surprising to see that in America you have huge areas that look like they're almost war zones.
I’m not blaming their behaviour on the water crisis, but it just shows you that Flint is a god forsaken place and i’m not surprised that people from there are trashy. It just made me think: lead poisoning supposedly reduces IQ.lookingaround87 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 11:26Deranged people come from all over the USA, I'm afraid. I take it you’re from Flint?
lol I'm British, I just found your comment a bit weird. Detroit is fucked up too, as are a long list of other parts in the USA... St. Louis, New Orleans, Baltimore, Newark... there's no shortage of awful places in the US.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 16:37I’m not blaming their behaviour on the water crisis, but it just shows you that Flint is a god forsaken place and i’m not surprised that people from there are trashy.
