Why (and i may be wrong) did they never get the backing of one of the big promoters?
They sell tickets and have been obviously talented throughout their careers
What happened to Michael Walsh....the older brother... he was 11-0 with 11 KOs and his career seemed to have been cut short.
Ryan and Liam reached a very high standard indeed.

I think Michael l just fell out of love with the game, I think he trains his brothers now.

I speak to ryan regularly on Twitter his sound lad. Rumours r their difficult to negotiate with tho they sell alot of tickets. Really rated liam and it's a shame how his career has gone since the davis defeat. Always wanted to see him and ste smith.

I would argue on the ticket selling part of the OP
They are from middle of nowhereville in Norfolk and can bring a decent number to a leisure centre or bring a thousand or so to the undercard of a decent bill, but they are not ever going to have the popularity to make Eduardo's balls tingle

I remember these lads all starting out and it was chav central, never really took to them, seemed like some sort of gimmick at them time.

Also I think they were with FW at the time he lost his SKY contract and it took a bit of time for FW to get himself sorted. At that time the Walshes were just starting out and weren't a priority. Not being from London goes against them too. In that time they all stagnated, lost a bit of interest and momentum.

Ronnie fought Ryan down in Norfolk in a farm shed and said the atmosphere was insane. Said there was tones of fans for them all and there fans are really loud. I think out the 3 ryan is the better. I vaguely remember Michael being dropped by a journeyman. I dont think he has the same commitment as the other 2. Good fighters though and seem to have their heads screwed on and know where they came from.

Great lads and very good friends of mine, I was down with them a couple weeks back, They own a few small businesses and doing very well, they well known not just in Cromer where they live but all across Norfolk/Great Yarmouth etc and Rochdale/Yorkshire where their originally from and still have family
I was actually at the fight in Norwich when Ronnie fought him, it’s like a old cattle shed the venue is, Fuking freezing aswell it was lol, Ronnie is right. they packed the place out and was a great atmosphere

Could not agree more.. Great bunch of lads. Exactly how family should be. They just be themselves and that’s more important than most the fake people in boxing.. I was at the fight as well with Ronnie and Ryan... Ronnie hurt Ryan early and the atmosphere changed very very intimidating.. Some crazy characters down there. Was only around 6 of us and they were proper giving us it.. Was good fun and a really good fight Ryan adjusted well and I think the referee was safe on giving it a draw or I think there would of been a riot

One of the lads (not sure which) has fought for and defended his british title a lot of times...
Anyone know what the most defences of lonsdale belt (at any or more then one weight) is?

Ted Kid Lewis won 9 British title fights across various weights. One at feather, 3 at welter, 4 at middle and 1 at light heavy.
Henry Cooper had either 10 or 11 British title wins, all at heavyweight, and had three belts for keeps.
Some time after this the bbbofc changed the rules and you could only win one belt outright per weight.
More recently Michael Gomez had 6 british title wins, all at super feather.
Jamie Moore has 7 at light middle.
(I really need to find something better to do on a Friday night...
)

Fast forward to 2024 and Buncey did a live audience Podcast with the Walsh brothers.
It might not be to everyone's taste, but I ended up enjoying it
They are clearly a close-knit bunch and as other posters mentioned previously...they are themselves. If I heard correctly they have 17 children between the 3 of them !!
Buncey did as well as one might expect to control Michael.....it's seemingly hard to get a word in edge ways, but he also has a way of winning you over !

Liam had the most potential and it could be said he lived up to it when his career peaked in a challenge for a world title, losing to Gervonta Davis.
Ryan has contested the British title 8 times (I think) and won most of them while facing some quality opposition such as Lee Selby, James Tennyson and Isaac Lowe.
