Help finding an Irish boxer from the 50s/60s

This is a long shot but an old Irish boxer stopped me in the supermarket and randomly started talking to me. I've tried finding out more info online about who he is but can't find anything.

Some of the details he gave me:
- He was a middleweight
- He retired aged 35 after getting knocked out by "a big black guy" in New Orleans
- He said he was 92 but also said he was born in 1934. Obviously that maths doesn't add up, so I'm guessing he fought in the 1950s/1960s and then retired sometime between 1962 and 1969
- I asked his name and he said "The Famous Seamus"
- He was born on December 31

If anyone thinks they might know who this could be from that info, please let me know!

Doesn't ring a bell; I had a look in few old Boxing News annuals from the 1950s and 1960s and there is nobody with the first name of Seamus among the British boxers but they only have a selection of the active British boxers because there are too many to list back then.

Got to say, sounds like he's talking shite. Especially as he started on about himself. I'd not waste much effort on it.

He certainly didn't fight legendary journeyman Joe Somerville, who fought almost every decent middleweight between 1955 and 1969.
