Stay busy fight. Ajagba's opponent for the October 26th date is 32 year old Jack Mulowayi. Big guy but no real threat. Hoping Efe gets a quick step up fight after this one. He needs help in a few aspects of his game.

Good ... as long as i see Ajagba in the ring in October, that means he will give us another fight around December. He needs to build record with so easy fights and tjen just take 1-2 tough fights to get title shot.

It seems that many people from this forum doggedly believe the robotic and stiff Efe Ajagba is a man that can do no wrong and is also capable of walking on water, even though all he does is face extremely limited journeymen calbre opposition.
The very same set of fans then choose to aggressively criticise and ridicule other fighters, such as Hughie Fury, who is younger than the Nigerian, even though none of those individuals are capable of naming another 25-year-old heavyweight competing today that has fought as many top-tier world-rated operators the Brit has faced, such as the likes Parker, Pulev and Povetkin, which were all competitive bouts?
So a ridiculous amount of hype and praise has been lavished upon Ajagba, with Fury being despised, despite the former achieving far less in the sport than the latter.
It appears that many fight fans are really weird and often apply double-standards!

As an Efe Ajagba fan, I am disappointed to see him take a step down like this. Especially after his clearcut 10-round decision over Demirezen he should be facing someone better a 3rd or 4th-tier fighter like Mulowayi.

I am not defending Efe's step back in competition on this fight.
But do you really want to compare Hughie's first 11 bouts to Agagba's. That's a laughable comparison

Unbeaten Cuban slugger Frank Sanchez will face Jack Mulowayi in an eight-round heavyweight attraction to open SHOWTIME BOXING: SPECIAL EDITION this Saturday, October 26 live on SHOWTIME® from Santander Arena in Reading, Pa.
Sanchez (13-0, 11 KOs) steps in to replace Efe Ajagba, who withdrew from the fight against the once-beaten Mulowayi (7-1-1, 3 KOs). Ajagba injured his back in training last week.
