Question: How are the rankings affected by Oleksandr Usyk's RTD 7 win over Chazz Witherspoon?

My vote: Usyk to #10

I'm torn between leaving him out altogether as he has no top wins at HW or place him at 14 as he beat Hunter at CW.

I'll go with Usyk in at 14.

I think of changing my vote to Usyk to #8 but beating Witherspoon means nothing. Had he fought Takam, I'd vote OU to #5

Usyk will be among the top 3 HWs by the end of 2020. Right now, I think he shouldn't be on this list.

He won 117-110 vs a guy already on the list, and beat a bunch of guys at cruiser who would easily be top 25 minimum at HW. It's not like he's done absolutely nothing relevant to HW

I'll say 7 for now but he's probably better than that

Why not, he handily beat a guy already on the list, as if that suddenly means nothing just because they cut weight for that fight

The top cruisers would do fine at HW too. Breidis already brutally knocked out Charr better than any HW did for example, and we saw USS Cunningham after looking past it at cruiser have a solid HW run, Huck beat Pov on many cards, etc. IMO beating top tier cruisers does have some cred for HW rankings

His win against Hunter should also be considered, it was conclusive.
At #6 I don't see anyone below him giving him any real problems, except maybe Parker, and even then I feel he could eek out a points win.

If they were an undisputed cruiser champ and already dominated a guy on the list I bet you we would. Look at all the ranked guys who haven't beat let alone dominated another ranked guy. And some of his cruiser opponents have done stuff at HW, like Breidis KTFOing Charr.

And he's clearly not being crowned here yet, no one put him at 1 or anything (though I know for some people it's great to have a hyped fighter to root against). He easily has a strong case to be rated on this list though.

I think not rating him as top 15 is pretty weak TBH

No change. I'll wait for him to fight a good HW. I believe he can beat most of the top 15, but what I believe and what he's done don't warrant a ranking just yet.

THe people acting like it doesn't count because it was at cruiser care way too much about the day before scale....actually look at the fighters. It's the same guys, and pretty much the same size as they are now, just with some weight sweated off the day before. In the ring it was probably like 210 vs 210 at least

And we know a guy like Briedis even at CW size is far better than someone like Charr. The top cruisers are no joke even vs HWs
