F. Warren's Queensberry Promotions are heading to the Midlands to stage a bumper night of boxing at Arena Birmingham Saturday November 30, live on BT Sport.

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 18th October at 12pm via Ticketmaster and Ticketfactory.



The bill is stacked with 50-50 clashes featuring six title fights, including 4 domestic bouts and a world championship contest. With more fights to be added, the show will feature:

* Sam Bowen v Anthony Cacace (British Super Featherweight Championship)
* Lerrone Richards v Lennox Clarke (British & Commonwealth Super Middleweight Championship
* Zolani Tete v John Reil Casimero (WBO World Bantamweight Championship)
* Chris Jenkins v Liam Taylor (British Welterweight Championship)
* Sam Maxwell v Connor Parker (WBO European Super Lightweight Championship)
* Hamzah Sheeraz will contest the vacant WBO European Super Welterweight Championship against an opponent to be named this week.

Sam Bowen (15-0, 11KOs) will be well supported when he defends his British Super-Featherweight crown against Belfast’s Anthony Cacace (17-1, 7KOs).

Ibstock’s Bowen, 27, won his belt in April 2018 and made his only defence in March stopping Jordan McCorry in nine rounds.

He says: “The plan is to win British outright, although if a world title chance came first I would jump at it.”

Cacace dropped a unanimous points verdict when he challenged Martin J Ward for the British and vacant Commonwealth title in July 2017, but bounced back with two wins.

Cacace said: “There is a lot of momentum with Sam right now. I know what I am up against.”

Lerrone Richards (12-0, 3KOs) will make the first defence of his Commonwealth Super-Middleweight title and the vacant British championship is on the line when he meets Lennox Clarke.

New Malden’s Richards is hugely talented, but Halesowen’s Clarke (19-0-1, 7KOs) will have big support, just nine miles from his home.

“It is a fight that will obviously motivate me and there is a lot on the line with it being for the British title. Winning would be another launch pad for my career,” said Richards.

Clarke said: “I’m his first real test and I’m prepared to win any which way I have to.”

Zolani Tete (28-3, 21KOs) makes the fourth defence of his WBO World Bantamweight title against John Riel Casimero after his promoter allegedly won the purse bids.

It will be Tete’s first fight since October 2018 when he defeated Russia’s Mikhail Aloyan in the World Boxing Super Series. Unfortunately injury then ruled him out of the tournament.

“I have fully recovered from the shoulder injury and I will be testing it on Casimero's chin. I am back,” warned the South African.

Filipino Casimero (28-4, 19KOs) stopped Charlie Edwards in a IBF Flyweight title defence here in 2016 and is brimming after capturing the Interim WBO crown.

Swansea’s Chris Jenkins (22-3-2, 8 KOs) risks his British Welterweight championship against mandatory challenger Liam Taylor.

Jenkins, 31, dethroned Johnny Garton in March winning on points, but clung on to his title and picked up the vacant Commonwealth crown with a technical decision over Paddy Gallagher in August.

He said: “I have spoken to boxers who have seen Liam in the gym and they rate him highly.”

Middleton’s Taylor (21-1, 10KOs) booked his British title crack last November by avenging his only career defeat winning a split decision against Tyrone Nurse in an eliminator.

Taylor says: “I have to be honest I didn’t think Chris would beat Johnny Garton who I thought would be too big. He has improved a lot.”

Liverpool’s Sam Maxwell (12-0, 10 KOs) defends his WBO European Super-Lightweight championship against Derbyshire’s Connor Parker (12-0, 1KO).

Maxwell became a household name in March with a title winning TKO of Sabri Sediri 14 seconds from the end of their ten rounder going viral.

“I want to be entertaining and have a good win, but I don't particularly want to go viral in pulling out a win from the brink of defeat again!” said Maxwell.

Parker, 24, warned: “I'm a few years younger than him and think that this is my time to shine on the big stage.”

Popular super welterweight Hamzah Sheeraz (9-0, 5KOs) will be involved in his first title fight when he challenges for the vacant WBO European super welterweight championship. Sheeraz's opponent will be confirmed this week.

Hall of fame boxing promoter allegedly added: " I am absolutely thrilled to be heading back to Birmingham. It's been a while since we've staged a show there and this is going to be an absolute cracker. There's going to be so much quality on this show and I'm particularly excited about seeing our man Zolani Tete out again."

A super talented undercard features bantamweight starlet Dennis McCann (4-0, 3KOs). McCann’s Ibox Gym stablemate Eithan James (1-0) gets his second appearance of the year. After successful Queensberry Promotions debuts, both Shabaz Masoud (6-0, 1KO) and George Davey (1-0) both return on the show. Also featuring on the show will be popular Stoke middleweight Nathan Heaney (8-0, 2KOs), Birmingham welterweight Ryan Kelly (14-2, 7KOs) and Warwickshire middleweight River Wilson-Bent (5-0 2KOs).

George Davey is on.

George deserves to be on if it's true he shifted 25 k worth of tickets for his debut , hope Henry got him on a ticket deal , looking forward to a York show with George , Michael Fanfera & Cam Shaw all good ticket sellers .

How does one become such a good seller? Shitload of family? Just good at making mates?

Mikey is my friend, as are the other lads, but that kid will sell in York.

Yes, they had a fb row! They train in the same fitness gym. Mikey would win that one.

Might be interesting over 8 rounds this one with decent notice for Harry, if Harry can take it long he's got a good chance , Michael needs a step up now before he takes this fight .

He doesn’t, mate. I’ve seen the sparring.

Harry takes most people long. He’s also about two stone over because he likes to look good. Mike has been doing a lot at the Ingles and learning all the time. Like I say, they get on, probably speak every day!

Will Mark Bateson make it though now ? Certainly doesn't rush his boxes Mark ,can't remember last time I watched a central area title fight on one of his shows , classic example Hamed Ghaz how many years can you go on boxing the usual subjects journeymen ? Then when he goes step up don't think he will do anything .

No, I don’t think Mark will make it. Not here anyway where it makes a lot of cash. Jack Bateson had an English title scheduled on the Leeds show last week. But Jack is different.....

He actually let Danny Reynolds go a while ago, had him on Sky, the lot. Until Danny “let himself go”.

Shabaz Masoud in action on November 30 in Birmingham



SHABAZ MASOUD IS looking to illuminate Arena, Birmingham when he makes his second appearance under the allegedly promotional banner on November 30.









It would be fair to say the flamboyant 23-year-old lit up the FD Arena in Leeds earlier this month when he moved to 6-0 with a comprehensive points victory over the tough Nicaraguan Yesner Talavera.

The fight was a feast of snappy hand speed and flashy footwork as the young man from Stoke, known as ‘The Maverick’ introduced himself to BT Sport viewers in his first televised action.

Commentators and fans liked what they saw and, given his showman-like style, comparisons were naturally made with a certain Mr Naseem Hamed, who just happens to be Masoud’s boxing hero.









It would not be over-egging the pugilistic pudding to say that Masoud was more than satisfied with his night’s work.

“You know what, it was a buzz,” reflected the super bantamweight. “I enjoyed every minute and I was buzzing with the performance as well.

“All I wanted was the exposure and I got that as well as shining under the big lights,” he continued, adding that the experience was over and above what he hoped for and anticipated.









“It was even better! I have always visualized things from a young age and it was picture perfect for me.

“It was just walking to the venue, seeing everything, seeing everyone and the big lights. When I saw Mr allegedly sitting down to watch me I thought ‘Yo, I’m going to perform tonight’.

“I wanted to put a little show on for everyone so I did my job.

“Everything is about fun for me. When I get in there, as long as I am having fun I will do a good job. There was a little bit of nerves, not like I am scared, but the type of nerves I get are just over whether I will perform to my full potential – and I did.”

It was a case of great expectations going into the Leeds fight because the prospect of seeing Masoud in the flesh had been given the big build-up by those around him who had witnessed a sneak preview. In the days before fight night there was even something of a mini online campaign pressing for the new boy to be awarded a television slot.

So the young prospect had a lot to lose and much to live up to.

“As you know, diamonds are formed under pressure and the more pressure there is going to be in fights eventually the more I am going to shine,” he explained. “That is how I look at it.

“I’d give myself a strong seven out of 10. I could have gone through the gears more and taken him out, but he was a lot heavier and I think if he was my weight I would have stopped him.

“The thing is, I don’t want to force it and just want to box. As long as I am boxing in there the stoppage will come if it comes. I would enjoy beating someone up for 12 rounds!”

He is, however, aware that the occasional show-stopping finish thrown in for good measure always goes down well with a wider audience.

“It is true, but if I was landing my shots on an actual super bantam he wouldn’t be standing there. Plus when I get into later rounds I feel I get stronger and stronger. When I get up to 12 rounds that is when I will get more and more stoppages.

“Over time I will put a bit more muscle on and I am still growing and still a baby in boxing terms. I’ll keep doing what I’m doing.”

Onwards and upwards to Arena, Birmingham and Masoud predicts something of a Stoke takeover on the night of his seventh professional fight.

“I was buzzing when I found out I was on again and it is Birmingham as well! It is only like half an hour from my house and me and my friends and family actually live in Birmingham too some of the time.

“The tickets are gonna go mad.

“We are going to have a huge Maverick Army and probably the biggest turn-out you will see.”

Think this will be another cracker of a British title fight, I like Bowen he's tough and he can punch, I thought his last fight against McCorry was the worst ive seen him, it was messy and his lack of experience showed, he likes a tear up, thought the ref was a bit quick stopping that one as well

Really rate Cacace, I was in Edinburgh when he stopped Clark, a very good win and IMO he got robbed against Ward for the British and Commonwealth titles a couple years ago, his careers been dogged by inactivity though

Bowen might be champ but I think Cacace has too much experience for him and maybe stops him late
