The head says that Canelo will go safety first towards a decision against a much bigger, harder punching Kov.
The heart says that the much bigger, harder punching Kov bounces Canelo round the ring like a basketball a la Cleverly

Be interesting if Alvarez isn't as able to easily hurt Kov as a lot of people assume (at least to the body).

But he's faded and his body aches?
Re: Canelo Alvarez vs. Sergey Kovalev - 2 November 2019
Initially i picked Canelo but im slowly coming round to Kovalev having too much for him at 175 if there's no silly weight stips.
Apparently there isn’t. Canelo said he’s looking to weigh the full 175 himself..
I could believe that, even back when he faught Trout his ring weight was 172lb despite scaling 154lb. Kov is obviously a much bigger guy with height & reach too.
What's really swinging me though is Golovkins performance last week. Seeing ggg struggle at mw makes me think that maybe Canelos performances vs G weren't as impressive as i thought.

2/3 years ago, i'd have backed Kovalev with no hesitation, but now the timing could be spot on for Canelo.
The light heavyweight debut is a question mark, though he's got way more experience than someone like Yarde who gave Kovalev a real scare in that 8th round.
Such a tough one to call.

The question is... who hits harder: Canelo or Yarde?

Possibly Canelo ? Due to better timing.

I cannot fathom a blown up LMW hitting harder than a genuine hard punching LHW. I'd rate Canelo's power 6/10. He puts the B/C class fighters away, but anything above that and his power doesn't show up ala Jacobs, Golovkin, Chavez, Cotto, Trout etc etc.

2-3 years ago, Canelo would never have dared..

Not a chance, he's not even a puncher at MW.

Yarde may have his flaws but he hits like a mule, and he's a big strong lhw.

I wonder how Caneloid will possibly do that...?

Kovalev just seems to run out of steam. He was stopped by Ward (in dubious circumstances granted). He just gets knackered and then becomes vulnerable.
He also needs to stop Alvarez to beat him and I don't see that happening.

What channel on UK TV is showing this? Presumably yet another box office one?

I think it's on BN. Not sure if it's also on BT. I patched BN a while back as there wasn't anything worthwhile being shown. I won't be resubscribing for this although it's a fight that interests me.
