I know they fought for the title in 1984, but what if they fought as contenders in mid-1982, would it still go in Pinklon's favor?

Spoon by UD as well for me in 1982.

Is Thomas's 1984 UD regarded as a fluke win? I'm pretty certain that that outcome was legitimate, with both fighters being reasonably fit and peaked for the bout. Spoon had a lot of trouble with Thomas's jab.

I kind of sense that stylistically, Spoon may not have been able to deal with Thomas. Just a guess.

Probably it wouldn't differ much.
