Quarry by decision in a back-and-forth brawl.

This is a tough call. I remember boxing fans and writers used to speculate about the outcome of this hypothetical match in the late 1970s and afterward. Almost always people would pick Jerry to win, because of his allegedly superior counter punching skills.

I lean towards Quarry to win this one on a decision, because of his punch output and his capacity to switch back-and-forth between brawling, counter punching, and shifty boxing tactics. But let's not overlook that Quarry really blew it against another rugged, strong, hard hitting foe in George Chuvalo. So, you never know...Bonavena might have caught up with Quarry and gotten him out of there.

But again, if I had to bet money on this, I'd put my dime on Quarry.
