Beterbiev v Bivol

After Beterbiev's amazing stoppage against Gvozdyk in Philadelphia last week, I'd really like to see him matched against the Russian WBA champ. I think it's a great fight and admittedly I'd like to see Bivol win it, which would be a major ask seeing as Beterbiev is a genuine animal in the ring. If the two were to fight, who takes all the gold?

Beterbiev | 15-00-00 with 15 KOs, 5' 11" & 73" | WBC & IBF Holder | 34.
Bivol | 17-00-00 with 11 KOs, 6' 0" & 72" | WBA Holder | 28.

I think Gvozdyk was better than Bivol so I'd confidently pick Beterbiev in this one.

I think the same. Bivol is a solid textbook boxer, but he's like he's still amateurish, fundamentally good, but robotic, not elusive at all. So, he gonna be an easier target for Beterbiev, than Gvodzyk was with his diversity and better movement.

Bivol is overrated, this would be a mismatch.

I fancy Bivol but after seeing Beterbiev forcing things like nothing, in many matches, I am afraid for him.

Bivol needed 12 round against an aging Jean Pascal. He could not stand long against Beterbiev.

What’s funny is, before this weekend, many would probably have Bivol outpointing Bert.

Now I believe we will see many siding with Bert.

Because he goes the distance and wins wide on points?

People really seemed to have soured a bit on rating Bivol. TBF, he went from knocking out most guys to boring 11-1 fests, but I'm not so sure that's a sign he's less effective than people thought as much as it is just an indication that people had mispegged him stylistically. I think he is a more polished boxer than Gvo (though less power) and perhaps the best pure boxer at LHW.

Question is how he could take the beastly strong steady pressure of Bert. Is he tough enough, and can he keep to his boxing without being put into a shell if he tastes the power? Bert's accuracy isn't bad either, he can place those short shots nicely when he stays compact.

Yeah, Bivol is as he always is. Perfectly fine with stinking out the joint to get the W. And unless you're insanely good at multiple dimensions, it's best to perfect that one dimension against a well rounded beast like Beterbiev. Bivol has that precision with speed, so if anybody can outpoint Artur from distance, it's him.

I thought it was a very good version of Pascal. And Bivol got the job done :maybe:

Bivol vs Bert is a fight I would love to see tonight.

After Bert smash down of Gvodyzk still in my mind and flabby undersized looking Bivol fighting safety first vs Lenin Castillo still polluting my boxing palate, I pick the return of a Bivol vs Barrera type performance for the 27 year old Bivol vs the 34 year Bert to Wash Bert's vs Gvodyzk masterpiece from my mind.

Bivol claims he is willing to face Beterbiev 2020 (if Beterbiev defeats his mandatory from China).

Bivol's not absolutely ripped but defo wouldn't say he's flabby. For size he's kinda like GGG to 175..an average sized guy. Not really small but easily does the weight rather than being one of the beasts cutting huge and then blowing up fight night.

Bivol is not flabby, but he is definitely undersized for 175. He himself realized that after he tasted power of Smith Jr and started talking about moving down.

Great fight.

The 2 best lh in the world!

Tough one, bert would be my favourite. His punching power, his body punches. A very strong boxer.
