Al Hamidi was always a handful back then and was robbed a few times.

Usyk against Hunter. Was considered by many as a below par performance by Usyk and it was to a degree but Hunter has went on to show his class.

Indeed, Hunter is a bit of a force at heavyweight these days.

Brook never capitalised on his win over the last Porter, but looking some of the performances Porter has put in since just shows how good Brook could be on his night.

No doubting Taylor’s class with the wins he has had since but at the time that win was hailed as proof of being of a certain class.

I think Taylor took something from Davies in that fight. I still think of it as a good win, given how soon it was in Taylor's career. Davies was the favourite going in.

Someone revived a 7 year old thread here yesterday with people arguing wether this Irish Mexican was ready to fight for world titles.

Considering what he’s gone on to do, and just how easily Mayweather done him, that looks really impressive. It also seems to be the best thing what happened to Saul, because he became a much better boxer from that point on.

Remember Davies's career before the fight? He had it all there in front of him, right team, right promotor, right size, everything.
Now think of his career after the fight.
He literally went off the rails. Lost his confidence, lost his promoter, lost his fans...
Josh took something from him that night that he has never got back, and I don't mean just his "0".
So I look back on it as a good (not great) win for Taylor.

A lot of people called Makabu a bum etc after Bellew beat him, but he's been on a solid run lately and at least fought his way back to contendership. He was actually never a bum though, it was just easy to discredit him immediately because Bellew was facing him.
