We see in movies.. Not very many sequals are better than the first movie..

They always either do worse at the box office, or reviews are just not as good. Maybe they try too hard.. I don't know..

There are a select few sequals that are ranked by the majority to be better than the first.

Example: The Godfather Part 2.

Holmes Vs Shavers: Holmes dominated a lop-sided decision in their first fight. In the second, there was more drama as Shavers almost ended Holmes reign only to be stopped several rounds later.

Leo Santa Cruz vs. Carl Frampton

Tommy Hearns vs. Sugar Ray Leonard

Riddick Bowe vs. Andrew Golota

Good call on Bowe-Golota. Not sure about Hearns vs Leonard, but it was a good rematch.

Izzy Vazquez 2 and 3 were both better than the 1st fight IMO.

Bobby Chacon vs Bazooka Limon IV was surely the best of that series, though admittedly I didn't see the first 3 it's impossible to imagine the 4th fight of the series not being the best and most dramatic.

Saad Muhammad vs Yaqui Lopez 2 is considered even more dramatic than the 1st right?

not even close. That first fight was one of the best fights I'd ever seen.

I think Muhammad Ali vs Ken Norton fight #2 was better than the original fight.

The second fight between Holyfield and Lewis was better than the first.

It's close, but the fourth fight between Marquez and Pacquiao was arguably the most dramatic if not the best of the four.

Agree with Lewis-Holyfield. The second Lewis-Holyfield fight was bad, but it was better than the first.

I'd probably agree with you on the 4th Marquez/Pac fight being the one, but the 1st fight is REAL close. It would only be the definitive ending that makes the 4th stand out more, but the 1st fight was great action for sure.

2nd fight was great too.

Everyone gave you sh*t about your Hearns/Leonard selection I'm gonna go the other route with it and give you praise about your Bowe/Golota selection.

Probably mostly forgotten due to the fact that it was yet another DQ loss for Golota, but it was a wild ass fight. Possibly the most exciting fight that ends in a DQ I can think of.

I am generally not a fan of the wee guys...….

...…. but Dave McAuley and Fidel Bassa had two exceptional, blood and thunder flyweight title fights.
The second is better but only just because they caned each other in their first encounter.

Still amazed that McAuley came out of those wars with Bassa and had a good run as the IBF champion.

I hate to say this because:
#1 I was in person at fight one and
# 2 I am Puerto Rican and the Puerto Rican guy lost fight two, but....

Ramirez-Rosario 2 was way better than Rosario-Ramirez 1.

Bramble-Mancini 2, arguably however...

Dokes-Weaver 2 was an excellent fight that went 15 instead of one...

You could say Marquez-Pacquia 4 outdid the other three...

Oh and Pacquiao-Morales 2.

I thought the second fight was no where near as good as the first,only seen it the one time though live.

Great shout, very underrated brawl, amazing that it went 15 rounds at a good pace.

Ali v Frazier 3. An obvious choice but got to be the Thrilla given that it topped even the Fight Of The Century.
