Jeez that’s cruel luck.

Only lost 1 fight and that was essentially due to injury.

Christ that's devastating hope he made a few quid but never really got the chance to make life changing money.

Gutting for him, great fighter with what surely was a great career ahead of him and some big fights, still he achieved a lot, unified world champ, he can be content he achieve his dreams, just a shame though, I liked him good technical boxer who could box to a plan for 12 rounds or have a scrap, always come out on top apart from Donaire but that's just bad luck

I'm assuming he's got a back issue which can't be repaired ?

No way was he cleaning up Inoue. That ain't the Lee Haskin league mate.

Inoue is the special talent of the bottom 1/4 weights, a level above Ryan IMO and with simply unmatchable raw talent put into compact crisp punches up and down.. Burnett was a very good fighter though and legit world class. He couldve beaten Tete.

This is horrible to see. 27 years old with lots of massive fights to be made in a stacked division. RB genuinely looked as if he was improving with each fight, gutted that we will never see the best of a truly world class boxer.

Feel sorry for him. Seemed a decent lad and could've had some big fights. I always found him to be a bit overrated though if i'm honest. Tough watch at times.

It's sad to hear his career got cut short but to be perfectly honest, I won't miss him.

Came into the ring with the full intention of stinking out the joint for 12 rounds.

Good riddance I say.

It is sad to see this happen to such a promising young fighter. The back injury was obviously worse than most of us realized.

He wasn't the most entertaining to watch for the most part, but his talent was clear for all to see.

To have to retire at 27 must be heart breaking, no matter how much of a brave face he put on.

Can only wish him all the best, came from a really tough spot and got all the way. Sad way to have to go out.
