Both Tongan Heavyweights Fa and Ahio completed another successful US fight night with Ahio winning KO2 over joshua Tufte 19-3-0 and Fa battling past Former US Olympic team captain Devin Vargas winning UD10.

Anyone catch the action and what are your opinions on both Tongan Heavyweight based out of Auckland, New Zealand?

Ahio did what he had to do looking impressive in getting rid of Tufte. Fa in my opinion struggled with Vargas, and Id expected him to get Vargas out of there inside 6. However the tough and game Vargas proved to be anyhting but a walk over and Fa while not ever looking like he was in danger of loosing has a tougher time of it than expected.

Not impressed by either, lower top 50 at most IMO

Fa now has been put down by ancient gatekeeping Dom Guinn, and I saw him badly buzzed by a 1-1 opponent and just squeak by fights on MDs. Also heard he looked really bad vs Hunter Sam. Think he's a hard loss waiting to happen. Ahio is too small and basic to make a dent much higher up. Tufte was awful even if he was 19-3 let's be honest.

As a patriotic New Zealander, I watched both these fights.
I'll never get that time back.
I've seen both these guys several times on TV and as close to the ring as security would allow me (away from my more buget seating)
I'll break it down for you.
Fa; started out as a bit flabby, carried power, got some KO's, then moved to doing more in the US, trimmed down, lost his power somehow, and has been quite dissapoining since. He has good fundamental skills, reasonable speed in the current climate, but seems to have lost his pop.
I expect him to get to around 22-0 and get fed to one of the top rated guys for cannon fodder.
Ahio; Quick, fit, and fundamentally sound. Reasonable power, average engine.
No idea where his career will lead him.
He is too small for HW.
He is smaller than Mike Tyson, with none of the explosiveness or power. I can't see much in his future, even if he drops to Cruiser, he is a bit small.

Edit: I need to clear up the fact that both these guys are from South Auckland New Zealand. Fa is of Pacifica origin, and Ahio is a Maori ( Hemi means James or Jim in English)
