Audley Harrison is the best chance of the next British heavyweight to win a world title. FACT. I think he can do it aswell.

If only he would prove it by fighting

That isn't fact, it's an opinion. Oh, and don't forget, Audley already has a world title.

Can't we have the HBC championship? Hypothetical Boxing Council? That would do it....

I'm still counting on Michael Sprott myself, he beat the guy who beat Mike Tyson who got beat up by Klitschko now if that isn't the resume of a world title challenger then I don't know what is!

I see you have witnessed the greatness of Michael Sprott. The Klit fears the Sprott!

Harrison will amount to nothing, his career is all hot air, he has already disappeared without a trace and the yanks are less interested in him than we are so what is he doing over there? What a big waste of time.

All quiet on the Audley front.

Anyone think his comeback opponent next year will be a decent fighter with a name (Ettiene/Botha etc) or just another WBF padded record type fighter??

I know what I'm putting my money on

If Harrison doesn't fight a Ettienne, Moorer, McCline type fighter within the first half of 2005, I shall be very dissappointed.

I will be too. He must know his career is stuck in fist gear and that he needs to take risks but he seems reluctant to do so. 2005 is gonna be a year that will make or break him

Agreed. Harrison strikes me as an intelligent person, surely he must know the state his career is in. But I never detect any sense of hurry in or out of the ring with him.

You never detect any 'fire' in his persona he just doesn't come across as the 'I will fight anyone, anytime' type.

Maybe he knows something we don't?

Yeah he knows the fat pay packet he gets to beat up bums is more lucrative than putting his arse on the line

I don’t know what’s more embarrassing, believing this or using the username Audley Harrison in the first place.

Unless you really are Audley Harrison in the first place, or is that even more embarrassing ?

I'd love to know who started that trend, and then go back in time and kill them.

I wonder if he picked it up from Lewis.

In terms of workrate, punching power and strength, Audley is thorougly mediocre.

World titles? Get out of town. Skelton would be a 50-50 match at best.

Harrison would beat Skelton (who was close to getting kicked out against Long), with ease..

I disagree entirely. The more time passes, the more I think that Skelton would walk through Harrison.

Audley is clearly the more skilled of the two, but he has displayed little of the drive, determination, or heart that Skelton has in abundance. I believe that Skelton would be able to push Audley onto the back foot, and force him to work at a pace that he's never experienced before. Harrison's stamina, and ability to box under pressure are, quite frankly, crap. Add to that his lack of genuine power, and it brings just one conclusion to me. Skelton mauls him. Every time.

Harrison must be lucky if he will be British Champion once upon a time..........when Skelton, Wiiliams and Hide have retired.....

Audley is a joke, a laughing stock, he should be arrested for impersonating the fighter.

Shame on the BBC for paying him, he's a fraud.

I have no interest in watching Audley Harrison fight and never will.

I have never paid to see Audley Harrison fight and never will.

Lets talk about real fighters eh?

Skelton will struggle against any genuine Boxer, and Harrison is well schooled aswell, and against Long I think had the ref not kept breaking them and let Long work more inside we would have had a very different outcome, i'm not saying Long would have won but it would have been alot closer and deffinately no stoppage.

Skelton beats him, Williams beats him, Sprotty beats him... :-?

Harrison is a nobody and will struggle to win any domestic title and world titles are out of the question even with the shockingly weak competition out there.

Frank enough for you.. :TU:

I have my doubts, I wonder how often Skelton's wide shots would actually connect.

Look at the fights a relative boxing novice like Skelton has had and the fodder Harrison has feasted on.

You can't tell me that with his pedigree and an Olympic gold round his neck, Harrison has not been managed awfully and the thing is... Audley's the one to blame.

I just think that Harrison will unfold once he faces a decent, world-level operator. He'll get found out next year if he does up the level of opposition... and that's a big if, the way his career has gone. He's very injury prone too isn't he?
