I remember a scenario such as that occurring in the Barry McGuigan-Danilo Cabrera world title encounter.

im guessing it was a domestic fight that the only judge was the ref. kind of end of the round he thought it was the last round and put the winners arm up, then realising there was one more round to go. Then doing it again at the end of the final round. Am I right cause I vaguely remember a fight like this

Pyatt won a world title but the man never developed a proper left jab and that cost him domestic greatness. He won most of his fights by simply loading up.

Incidentally, an American referee stopped the fight between Barry McGuigan and Danilo Cabrera at the end of round eight in Dublin in 1986 but the bell had gone and the referee quickly realised his mistake and the fight continued after the minute interval.
