They all have different arrangements.

They are the maximum percentages in the boards rules.

Since I am self managed, I don't have to pay a manager. I just sort out my trainers. When I was managed, I paid 20% to manager.

thanks for that, it was just i was reading something on Tim Witherspoon, and he said the amount he got from fighting Bruno was much less then he was supposedly paid.
Mind you he was dealing with Don King

I think that quite a few of DK's fighters have been paid less than they thought they were going to get!

Hello topper123,
I asked a very similar question a few months back. Below is a link to the thread, hope you find it useful.
Cheers Paul.

I know someone says on the other thread that Tim got only $40k from a million dollar purse but I think it was actually just over $90k the boxer cleared for himself. Still - absolutely scandalous and this precipitated the split between the two.
Witherspoon got wiped out in 1 by James Smith in his next defence amidst more rumours of money arguments. He just wasn't focused and was sick of being badly treated.
I don't think he ever worked with King again, keeping his dignity but probably harming his career.

i have seen extracts from Witherspoons paper work
Don Kings team ripped him off badly i recall something along the lines of:
sparring expenses 10 days at $300 per day = $30000

A common, dirty trick. I even worry that it happens now, not on that scale but with the smaller ticket sellers on small hall shows.

I heard in a documentary about the 300 * 10 = 30000. But even after the mistake had been noticed he still couldn't get the money back. Really sick, King is not the one in the ring getting hammered around, it would be fun if he were though
