Let me know which movies or documentaries you like
Off the top of my head
The Legendary Nights docs that HBO made were all great watches.
As for movies...
Requiem for a Heavyweight
Fat City
Play it to the Bone
The Milky Way (comedy Boxing movie)
The Harder They Fall (semi-biographical about Primo Carnera, with Hollywood exaggeration thrown in)
There's more, but I'll leave 'em for other people to name.
Oh...Raging Bull. One of my favorites.

Good movie, a little depressing, but it's not the only one that applies to.

"Joe and Max" Decent film; well acted, especially Til Schweiger, who played Schmeling.
"The Great White Hope" about Jack Johnson starring James Earl Jones.

Decent movie with Marco Antonio Barrera even in it. Was originally called “Chamaco” when I first saw it.

Is this a movie about Salvador Sanchez or something?

The Chavez doc is good, can’t remember what it’s called and I’ve got it on dvd somewhere in the house, it’s obviously in Spanish with subtitles and it tells his story and follows him in the run up to his last fight, really good watch
