Loma has interesting fights in his division like Davis, Lopez/Commey and Haney!

It would be very interesting to see what name/s will fight Loma in 2020. Davis, Lopez/Commey or Haney?
Agree, Russell and Walters are very underrated wins. His 2019 year was big disapointment for me. Hopefully there will be no more Crollas in 2020Ron C wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 11:31 Agreed 100%. I don’t have Lomachenko in my Top 5 P4P for the simple fact that he doesn’t have that signature win yet imo. I give him loads of credit for beating Gary Russell and Nicholas Walters but I still think he comes up a little short of having a win resume that puts him top 5 P4P. Just my opinion of course P4P lists are very subjective. If he beats one of the guys you just named though, it’d jump him right up to #2 in my book behind Canelo. If he beats 2 of them, I’d absolutely have him at #1. Hope some of these happen soon
Very good wins. If I remember Gary was in very high regards by the boxing purists and Loma pretty much 'humbled' him. Walters is another good win for Loma.Ron C wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 11:31 Agreed 100%. I don’t have Lomachenko in my Top 5 P4P for the simple fact that he doesn’t have that signature win yet imo. Yup. True. These fights are the most realistically.
I hope so. Loma vs Lopez/Commey in 2020 for the undisputed lightweight super-champion.Cent0089 wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 11:42Agree, Russell and Walters are very underrated wins. So, who are 5 people having better signature wins than Loma ???Ron C wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 11:31 Agreed 100%. What's this about Furious George?
Agree, hopefully we will have superfight soonmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 14:36 Arum said if Lopez wins they are going to make that fight vs Loma for April or March. Loma should just fight the winner tbh, even if it's Commey instead of Lopez. Both would be good opponents and 'undisputed' belt holding on the line
True that mate
I don't think resume matters as much p4p, but fury, usyk, gvodzyk, canelo, PAC(just Thurman), Estrada, wong, Josh taylor for sure and plenty of debatable guys like Inoue, bud, Spence, j Williams, Josh,boxing_rocks wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 12:58So, who are 5 people having better signature wins than Loma ???Ron C wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 11:31 Agreed 100%. Cmon, with the context of his 3rd fight being Russell it's crazy impressive but you're knee deep in his resume koolaid. I believe you said that Crawford could beat d Garcia, Thurman and Porter and he still wouldn't measure up.
Russell, Rigondeaux, Linares, Walters are all pretty damn big wins, and his next tier wins ain't bad either.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 16:53Cmon, with the context of his 3rd fight being Russell it's crazy impressive but you're knee deep in his resume koolaid. I don't see that happening. Loma has a very solid resume, wasn't the question about a signature win? There are definitely more than 5 guys with recent better wins. Like I said, I weigh more feeling than resume with p4p. If it's resume canelo is clearly #1.gilgamesh wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 17:08Russell, Rigondeaux, Linares, Walters are all pretty damn big wins, and his next tier wins ain't bad either.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 16:53

Crawford's single biggest is still either Gamboa or Khan. He has lots of solid next tier guys as well, but I don't think it's unfair to say he'd at least need to beat 2 of those 3 to catch up to where Loma's resume is.
Or a single win over Spence would do it in one fell swoop.
Considering that he's kinda stalling out at Welterweight I imagine that's why they're planning to catch people's eye by having him go up 2 weight classes at once to Middle. Though even there he may still have the problem of not being able to get the biggest fights. We'll see.
I guess Al has control over all the big names at 154 huh? I'd imagine that's the only reason he'd skip that division entirely. Either that or he just has a specific match at Middleweight (most likely Murata) in mind.
Canelo would be #1 if there wasn't so often a lingering doubt around his biggest wins. Loma wins his fights conclusively. Canelo ekes out his wins in fights where people debate whether he won or not. At least in a lot of cases.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑13 Dec 2019, 17:15I don't see that happening. Loma has a very solid resume, wasn't the question about a signature win?
