Crawford did his job well but he needs to fight top opponents to keep his game up

I think Crawford needs to fight top competition otherwise his skills and his sharpness are gonna fade. Porter, D. Garcia, M. Garcia, Ugas and Thurman are the guys that Crawford should fight. Kavaliauskas was a tough opponent and he came in good shape having good moments early in the fight and he even scored a kd in round three.

Yeah, Crawford needs to step up in the competition. He's wasting his years now. He can beat all those Spences, Porters and Garcias. He just must do it, while he can.

I doubt he’ll lose anything as long as he still fights.

I am surprised how much punching power Crawford has considering he stepped up in weights. Dont think anybody can defeat him in 147

You might be very surprised.
Beating Top Rank/ESPN house fighters isn't close to being the same as toppling those studs toiling for PBC.
I'd make Crawford a favorite to beat the Garcias and old man Pacquiao. Unless Thurman regains his pre-layoff form, Crawford should beat him too in a competitive bout.
But Porter is a toss up and Spence beats him. And if Ugas consistently moves his hands instead of waiting too much, he can eke out a win over Crawford too. Has the perfect style to really frustrate Crawford.
Match any guy right and he can look like a monster. Promoters bottled that formula generations ago.
But step up the competition and oftentimes that look of invincibility suddenly vanishes.

Agree. Those PBC ww fighters tested each other at the best level. Porter fought Devon Alexander, Brook, Thurman, D. Garcia, Ugas and Spence. Even M. Garcia fought Spence. These fighters have mixed each other and it's very hard to look 'stellar' when you fight top level competition.

Good post.
I remember mikey garcia. People and media talked about him like he was the p4p King. They favourite mikey over spence. What came next was a reality check, losing every rd, being completly schooled.
Tc is a betted boxer than mikey, but i see his weaknesses, just like i saw mikeys weaknesses. Tc is good at everything, but great at nothing. Therefore i cant put him in the p4p top 2 category with boxer who are great at multiply things. Lomas speed, reflexes and footwork are great. Inoues speed, stamina and power are great. He just doesnt belong there.

Lol Very few people thought that M. Garcia has a real chance against Spence. The result was as it was expected by most of us. And M. Garcia actually proved that he's a top fighter especially bc he came up from 135/140lbs lbs to challenge one of the best-strong fighters in the ww division. Mikey went 12 rds against Spence and he wasn't 'brutalized'.

Thats not true. I have a very good memory. Mike tyson, teddy atlas, a lot of media people, the mayority pointed out mikeys great technique and how he was this great boxer and favoured him over spence. Yes, 12 rds running and hiding, not great at all.

Heres an article on espn with predictions.
Atlas clearly calls for Spence to win by knock out.
I haven't found Mike Tyson's prediction.

Do u remember the interview or post press con where spence said he was very angry and it gave him extra push to prove his doubters wrong, being upset that a lot of people like tyson etc favoured mikey?
On youtube, sugar rl was asked by elie seckback. Who wins mikey or spence? Answer: mikey.
Bottum line mikey was hyped extrem, not just by fans but also by legends like srl & tyson and was a let down. Just like crawford.

The only notable name I found after looking at 4 articles on the predictions that picked Mikey was Juan Manuel Marquez.
Haven't seen really anyone of note picking Mikey besides him.
I dont doubt there were others but the first 4 articles I checked all favored Spence heavily

Kavaliauskas is no walk in the park, though. We all want to see unification matches among the best guys, but this kind of matches are still real acid tests for champions.

Ugas wont beat Crawford, but Ugas will give Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia a good fight, Ugas is a LIVE UNDERDOG against Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman, Ugas Already Gave Porter a really good fight which some thought he won, especially if they had scored that a knockdown, Ugas is NOT a Joke, Ugas was calling out Spence when no one else was, Danny Garcia is fighting Ivan Redkach next, and Keith Thurman I hear wants to fight Besputin, but Besputin is with Top Rank and Thurman with PBC If Thurman's team can't get their first choice (Besputin) Ugas Vs Thurman will be a good tough fight.
Thurman may be out of luck, I just read the WBA has ordered Besputin to Fight Ugas and the winner will be MANDATORY for Pacqaio WBA Title. I can't see Pacqaio fighting relative no names like Besputin or Ugas at this point in his career it is probably BIG NAMES ONLY, I guess Thurman could fight the winner.
Crawford is a Level Above ALL the 147 pounders especially with Spence's Boxing Future Uncertain, Even at Spence's best I think Crawford beats him.
