So he still holds the WBA Middleweight and WBA ‘Regular’ Super Middleweight belts..

Anyone know the top 2 ranked by WBO?

“I know that my accomplishments in the ring have brought pride to my fans and my country,” Alvarez said. “I have long enjoyed my relationship with the WBO and appreciate all they do to preserve and enhance the sport of boxing. This agreement allows the WBO to have its light heavyweight title contested regularly and allows me to pursue bouts against the best opponents, regardless of weight class.”

Typical. Top Rank Ramirez waiting in line. Good thing, all but Bivol, Jack, Pascal and Browne are on ESPN..

Is anyone really surprised? Most of us didn't think he'd continue on (at least succesfully) at LHW.

Can fight Nail?? Maybe a 3-belt unification against Beterbiev??

Maybe not straight away.. he’ll milk some defences against some African dudes.. call them mandatories or whatever.

Sounds reasonable in making some cash before going after the other guys.
He could dear to be great and just go after the other beltholders after he got the strap.

Or I have no clue. Mostly missed him in the WBSS tourney for SMW.

Canelo always had bigger fish to fry and better paydays to earn at 160lbs and 168lbs, as opposed to 175lbs.

There’s no point in pretending otherwise.

Ramirez and good fights shouldn't be used in one sentence. He avoided everybody at 168 and will keep doing the same at 175. No way he fights Beterbiev, Gvozdyk or Bivol.

Will probably fight Hart for a 3rd time. Both LHW’s.

Ramirez and Salamov, I think
Ramirez is ALSO Ranked #1 by the WBC where Beterbiev is the Champion, my guess is Ramirez will want to fight the man most consider the best at 175 (Beterbiev) rather than the relatively unknown Salamov, And Ramirez will almost certainly get more money against Beterbiev, and if he wins Ramirez star will rise A LOT, and Fans will call for an all Mexican showdown with Boxings current biggest Cash Cow Canelo. If I was in Ramirez's shoes it is a NO BRAINER, Fight the Man considered THEE BEST at 175 or some Unknown (and I know Unkowns can be great fighters and stars of the Future) I would STRONGLY advise him to pick Beterbiev, And If he loses to Beterbiev well he lost to the best, if he loses to Salamov his Career takes a Major hit.

Sounds good an all, It's been talked about in the past that Canelo and Zurdo's paths will cross eventually.. I think it will.

But Ramirez going after Beterbiev? You must not know him.

That's exactly the fight he reliquished the belt to avoid. can't really blame him.

Wondering who will be Canelo next oponent. I would love to see Canelo - Derevyanchenko or Canelo - Charlo. Hopefully not Horn/Lemieux/Murata bulls"t

I prefer the scenario with Canelo at SMW, from now by the end of his boxing career.
