Saw that on ESPN the other day. Can't say I'm enamored with the idea. Easy win, that division is all PBC too. I wish they'd set him up with Prograis.

Difference is besides Charlo, none of them really are stars like their welterweight counterparts and Crawford is at a size advantage so I can see PBC risking it.

He does get a claim of a 4th div title.

But against who?

I have no problem with this fight, but again, this is wasting of Crawford potential. He should chase Porter fight

Good point, we'll see. I wouldn't expect Bud to stay there but you never know.

Maybe, but history will be better to him because of it and everyone would want to fight a four weight division champ

Barring illness or injury, it's a free trinket for Crawford to pick up in a higher weight class; something he can tell his grandchildren about.

Meanwhile, the best welterweight division in 30 years will continue to pass him by, when in all likelihood, he could be ruling it.

The WBO title is essentially the Top Rank title.

The PBC don’t recognise the WBO title.

If Crawford faces Patrick Teixeira, he’ll be fighting another unheralded opponent ranked outside the top five of their respective weight division.

I personally won’t applaud Crawford for beating Teixeira and I personally doubt many fight fans will.

Don’t think we’ll ever see him against the top boys

The onus is on Top Rank to get round the negotiating table and thrash out a deal with the PBC.

The PBC can happily plod along mixing and matching their stable, they're under no obligation to do anything.

Arum is spinning PR lines cause he's under pressure to deliver something big.
