Hi,

I have questions about the WBO Global title. What's the description of that title in a few sentences, what is its value and what can a boxer do with it, what rights does he get? Like, can he fight as a mandatory challenger for the WBO Interim, or regular title?
I guess it's like the WBA Gold & WBC Silver title. I'm loking forward to your answers!
Text examples:

WBA Gold Champion:
The Gold Champion is supposedly the mandatory to the Regular Champion, but the interim Champion is surely in line to get a shot at the Regular title as well at some point. It is basically the WBA’s version of the WBC Silver title.

WBC Silver Champion:
WBC headed by its president Don Jose Sulaiman, in another innovative move, has announced that the premier world boxing body is studying the possibility of replacing the often confusing and sometimes questionable interim championships with a WBC world silver championship. Sulaiman said the idea of a WBC Silver championship is “to give value to many fights that cannot be for a WBC world title but are bouts of great importance.“ The WBC president believes that “it is necessary to also implement new measures for greater opportunities for boxers
and promoters“ and this is what the WBC World Silver title belt aims to achieve. While the rules and regulations covering WBC Interim
championships are very clear and state that they can only be approved when a champion is inactive for six months or longer due to legal
or medical problems.

It feels like a moneybelt to sell fighters as the next thing. Any other reason is pretty much bs, accept that who holds gets ranked.

Pretty much how the inter-something belts that have been around since the 90s. But, they added more. Cause, you know the money was right and selling fighters as the second tier beltholder after the champ. Then again it is an egobooster.

I honestly don’t even know what all these belts mean anymore. When I started watching boxing in the 80s you had the WBA, WBC, and the IBF. The WBO came along a little later.. now you have so many organizations calling themselves “ world entities “ that the concept has lost its value.

If only I could describe it without swearing.

It's basically a POS belt that the WBO can wrap around guys in the lower rungs of their top 10 corrupt ratings in order to pilfer sanctioning fees out of them when they fight.

The fighter then gets rewarded with a fight for their 'real' world title, unless their name is Dillian Whyte.

It's hard to get a good description as I can see, cause very small is known abou the global title.
I've put it that way, what you think? Suggestions?

WBO Global Champion:
The Global Champion is basically the WBO’s version of the WBA Gold & WBC Silver title.

At the 31st annual WBO Convention the WBO Trans-Oceanic title was renamed and approved after a unanimous vote.
A compromise name of WBO Global Nations was reached, a suggestion that was met with little enthusiasm from WBO President Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel.
Valcarcel proposed simply striking the last half of the proposed name, going instead with WBO Global. Although some members expressed concern about WBO Global creating some confusion between global and world titles, the overall reception to the new name was positive and the board unanimously voted to approve WBO Global as the newest regional belt.

It is a regional title, like the Asian and Pacific international and intercontinental titles. Having been created specifically for competitors in Australia, New Zealand, Russia and other Eastern European countries.
This belt serves as a ladder to the belt, as by retaining it you will automatically be ranked in the wbo world rankings in their respective weights.
