Bugner on points but it is close and maybe a SD.....

…..Mason was v. strong, had quite quick hands and Bugner's great chin would have got a test or two.

There's also the fact that Bugner regularly operated at a higher-level whilst Gary's first world-class fight was with Lewis.

Joe Bugner WUD 15 Gary Mason because Bugner accomplished more after he fought more elite fighters in his time.
