Tbh I think the people who picked old Gamboa for Davis expected to an early KO from Davis but it didn't happen. So I think Davis vs Loma or even Haney are out of the question for 2020. Probably LSC, Ryan Garcia and Easter may be on FMJ/Gervonta radar or/and move up at 140 lbs since he has problems to make 135 lbs weight limit.

Gervonta isn't gonna be expected to fight a real dangerous opponent? The guy that really hasn't fought a dangerous opponent at all yet?

I doubt it, Leo Santa Cruz would be a Smaller fighter (He has been fighting 122 and 126 and just fought at 130) Gervonta Davis is at 135, Cruz ducked Rigo and Russell who would outbox him, Davis would knock him out early and even if he took the fight he would want PPV Money and fans would not pay to see a mismatch that will end fast like 1 or 2 rounds.

That's a point. A safe win for Davis and another formerly good fighter on his resume. Uncle Al will order and Leo will abide.

Why not Tank-Gommey?

Tank didnt win early, but still looked super strong. He doesnt need c level opponents. He maybe needs a new trainer, who puts him in his place when he doesnt go jogging.

LSC would be the right pick for Davis. Small-beatable champion(lower division) with a good name. Also LSC would want to cash in vs Davis.

I'd rather see Tank vs Ryan Garcia, T. Lopez, or Haney when Haney is back. LSC is a very good fighter, but Tank wouldn't get any credit for beating him. I'd still like to see Tank vs Loma also. Move up in competition, not down.

If he doesnt fight anybody he is responsible. If you watch him fight garbage opponents you are culpable

I find it intriguing that fight fans prefer to persistently blame Gervonta Davis for this situation, whilst blatantly ignoring Vasiliy Lomachenko’s very own words.

So yeah, fûckîng forget anything Lomachenko says and let’s keep accusing Davis as being a “duck”.

Tank is an 'asset' for FMJ. He's carefully matched to get profit. If Tank would have trouble in a future fight (like a cherry-pick gonna partially wrong) then FMJ would probably match Tank with a top fighter and cash in. Floyd is in charging here.

We should wait and see what happens. My feeling is the fight won't happen this year from various reasons like:

"We’re not rushing. We’re not thinking about Lomachenko. Lomachenko’s with Top Rank. Let him stay over there with Top Rank. That’s where he’s at. My guy’s gonna do his job and I’m gonna make sure I do my job to the best of my ability, to get what he want.”

Haney is out for at least 6 Months with his Shoulder injury then is supposed to fight the L. Campbell VS Fortuna Fight when he gets back, Haney is NOT Available in 2020.

Lopez fights Lomachenko in April or May, So they would not be available until August At the Earliest.

R. Garcia has a tuneup in February, then Linares in May, So August would be the Earliest he would be available, and De La Hoya said Garcia is not ready yet.

So the Names that keep coming up are all Not Available any time soon, and that is not even considering the different Networks and Companies they are Contracted to, Though with Wilder and Fury they can make a fight if both sides want, but they usually don't.

Teofimo is more dangerous than Davis, has a real title, and likely wants less money, so Loma's choice is very logical.

Davis won't fight Lopez or Loma, so what is his excuse?

No reason loma wouldn't fight Lopez first, unifies and same promoter. After a waste of a year, it's a good one.

Robert Easter (Who like Davis is Broner's friend, so if Easter and Davis are Friends maybe they wont fight each other)
