I wouldn't want to get into the ring with either one of them. I would go with Frazier.

Frazier would absolutely wreck Marciano.

Now this is a good fight, both are undersized for HW division, but they are unusually durable and strong for their size, and Ali compared Frazier to Rocky in an interview once, and fighting against Rocky would be equally tough as fighting against Frazier, but he said he would beat them anyway.

Frazier wins by points in my opinion.

Can't see this one going the distance. Frazier's preferred distance is Rocky's wheelhouse.

Of all the other great heavies I think Joe matched up great with Marciano. Only one better is Tyson, Mike was made for him.

they'd have bludgeoned one another half to death in a hellish fight of relentless toe to toe warfare. very late stoppage by doctor or a ref with some mercy. the punch that knocked walcott out cold would put any man away, any.

wouldn't dare to say who'd come out on top. one of the most brutal fantasy matchups i could imagine.

Yes, I truly believe from their styles that Frazier really works Rocky over. Marciano is an ATG, but is still also a little overrated in my humble opinion. Rocky wouldn't be able to land as much as he';d like on Frazier. Frazier's movement would have the Rock befuddled many times throughout the bout, while he's copping massive leather to the grill.

Frazier probably would have won, but their not be anything "comfortable" about it. Of the two, Frazier was harder to hit and and was a more accurate puncher. However, Marciano's sheer volume of punches would make this a brutal fight.

you never saw marciano wobbled or dazed ever in a fight & he was hit with bricks plenty. when he was down he was up in a jiff and back on the attack.

How hard did Rocky hit? You would need to be one of, if not THE hardest hitting heavyweight of all time to stop Frazier. Plus that left hook would land on Rocky, over and over.

Marciano hit very hard. Hard enough to hurt Frazier. He was not an accurate puncher, but because of sheer volume he would land some. Frazier was also usually a slow starter. At the very least, Marciano would make it exciting for a while. Eventually, though, Frazier would probably have been too much.

The Rock was a special fighter, incredibly tough, great stamina, power and resilience.

But as much as I respect him I just can't see him giving away 30lbs to a man like Joe Frazier 185lbs v 215lbs. This may not be so huge a factor if Rocky were a master of defence, able to keep away from Joe and mess him about (Even the very capable Jimmy Ellis couldn't make that work) but Rocky didn't know how to take a backward step he would go to war with Frazier and he would get absolutely annihilated.

When you're an attacking pressure fighter who trades on overpowering your opponent and you come up against someone bigger, stronger, more powerful than you are, you'd better have a plan 'B' as Joe himself discovered while getting clobbered by Foreman.

In their primes, this would have been the proverbial fight in a phone booth. The styles are very similar. Very exciting. It would have been life and death in there. Despite the size difference, I have to go with Rocky in this one, by late round stoppage, in a great fight!

Frazier was faster, more mobile, had a better head movement. Marciano had a better chin. Both had tons of heart, durability and power. Joe had the crucial advantages. Frazier by decision.
