I reckon Povetkin gives him a tough night but Whyte ultimately beats him. I think a fit Ruiz bashes Whyte up though personally.

Do all boxing ‘journalists’ just get paid to watch Kugan and then write it all down?

Got no choice has he really ,, He wants ppv status , and the millions that go with it ,, he has to fight a live opponent , or risk the PPV being a flop and setting him back , the powers that be will not give him PPV if he can't deliver the sales

He didn't fight Pulev or Ortiz and turned down a world title fight with Joshua, but people still claim that.

He might live to regret that, you shouldn't turn down title fights.

Some reports have said it was due to the timing of his cycle.

Great, if so. But if Whyte is prepared like in his last bout, he'll lose to any of them.

Ruiz would be interesting and could make a decent headline fight .

Ruiz beats whyte especially if he stays out of the chipshop ,

Povetkin no thanks

Not a fan of Whyte anymore, the whole drug test farce goes against my principles and I may not know exactly what happened, but it is clear that something did and it involved substances he should have not taken and then a lot of legal bullsh!t to get that farcial statement from UKAD

That said, that last bout was a one-off for his shape. He was drafted in late notice, on the back of not giving a flying eff and ticking over rather than training camp. I think it should be dismissed as a factor moving forward

I don't blame Whyte, because I think, that all of them top level pro-athletes drink different juices.

I can see that side of it. Like the Tour De France. It is a simple choice of either be at the back and never be competitive, or join in and compete on a level playing field. It forces any competive competitor to take substances themselves.

Boxing is different as a sport which can injury, maim, kill or just alter people mentally. But for other sports it all stems from the dishonesty. If they put their hands up and allowed it and made it open, it would be ok and then then ones who do not want to take substances can compete together and be champions from a natural / drug-free status.

I think you could say the exact same thing about Ruiz Jr though.

Talking about the situation of Ruiz's last bout, I believe, that Joshua was better, than Ruiz was worse. I mean, Ruiz appeared fatter, than he had been in the previous bout, but that wasn't a really big factor, while Joshua appeared just levels better, than he had ever been before.

Whyte record is actually quite padded plenty of names but aside from parker all on the slide.

Browne - completely finished
Helenius - zero heart just kina gave up
Chisora - went life and death both times
Parker - almost got ko in the end

I'd bet money they will go for an old povetkin next and stay away from ruiz

I agree with that. Whyte isn't on the level everyone seems to think.

How do the other contenders' records compare

I don't think many pick Whyte over Fury, AJ, Wilder either tbf. What level do most people put him at?

Either Pov or Ruiz would still be among the better wins in the division lately

What about Rivas?

He should wait to see if AJ has to vacate a title and push for a fight against Usyk or Pulev, with the aim to unify with AJ in a huge fight afterwards.

That's one I missed but am I not right in thinking jennings was beating him until getting ko... Joyce beat him by a wide margin

While I don't disagree what other non champion has a better resume?
