Well, we've heard what people think what the most padded record is. Now which fighter do you think has the most meaningful fights on his record (win or loss) ?

He didnt have an easy start to his career. Miroshnichenko won bromze in the 88 olympics after losing a decision to Bowe in the semfinals eventhough he knocked Bowe down twice.

kosta, De la Hoya, sam soliman, have very few bad fighters on their resume.

I think you've just got to look to the majority of Mexican fighters. The records of the men who make it to the top are absolutely littered with quality opponents. Take a look at the resumes of guys like Barrera, Zaragoza, Morales, Zarate, and others, there are loads of real tests on their records.

Somewhere else to look is at the little guys from Japan or Korea. Some of their better fighters have challenged for, and won, world titles very early on in their careers. Most against decent opposition.

Recently though there are several names that I can think of that haven't had a huge number of easy rides. Trinidad, Whitaker, Vargas (fighting Winky after 17 fights is good going in my book), Nunn (if there's any doubt check out the run of fights he had from '88 to '94), and poor old "too much, too soon" David Reid.

For a fighter who "lack of opponents" often costs him in these mythical greatest ever lists, I would say Mike Tyson's is pretty good (especially pre the first Jail).

The likes of Marvis Frazier, James Tillis, and Mitch Green were good opponents for an teenager to face.

During the world championship reign there was only one top ten fighter he never faced (Tim Witherspoon). Okay, there wasn't a great in there but he did clean out the devision.

Even in the 1990's I think the ridiculing of Tysons' opponents has been unfair. Okay there have been the Peter McNeeley's and Buster Mathis', but there have also been the likes of Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Andrew Golota, Razor Rudduck, Alex Sterwart, even Lou Saverese (who was ridiculed) was once considered a reasonable opponent for then WBC champion Lennox Lewis.

Although i would not call his record padded i would not go so far as to say Tyson's record is stellar, on the flip side he is not the type of guy who ever avoided anyone either so it is definately there for argument.

After the first year of his pro career there's hardly any padding on Mayweather's record - a lot of world champs in there.

Im sure Im going to be shot down in flaims for saying this but if you actually look at his record Audley harrison has supprisingly little padding.

Other than middleton and possibly robinson all the fighters on it can bang a bit. People say he hasn't steped up but he has fought good opponents throughout.

I know it is popular to lambast him but lets look at what fights he has taken which opponents in.

2nd fight Derek McCafferty as hard a pro as they come and certainly a sollid fighter for anyone in their 2nd outing.

5th fight Mark Krence at the time 11-0 and a very active fighter who has proved his skill since and was certainly not an easy fight.

6th fight Dominic Negus not an easy prospect and a brawler

9th fight Rob Calloway okay I know this is when people said he should step up and he was against a small guy but he did know his way round the ring.

10th Ratko Draskovic someone who had a good record who had been in with Sinan Samil Sam

12th fight Quinn Navarre a good journyman with Golota on his record Lamon Brewster, Larry Holmes he may not have won them but certainly a challenging Journyman

14th fight Brian Nix someone who had just beat Tim Witherspoon and fought Golota

we all know about what Juliouse francis has to offer and Bonin was not a bad opponent at all. However that is a supprisingly unpadded record and he started at a high level particularly for a Heavyweight.

I know non of you will agree with me but I don't think he has as padded a record as many would believe esspecially if you read Fwank warrens collum

how about Juan Laporte , he fought , Salvador Sanchez, Rocky lockridge, Eusebio Pedroza, Wilfredo Gomez, Barry McGuigan, Julio César Chávez, Azumah Nelson, Kostya Tszyu.

Plus fighting a host of other contenders, in fact i would be pretty hard pushed to find someone who faced so many top level boxers, and was competitive not just a punch bag for them.

Goodness gracious, that's some record, about 75% of the fighters on there are world class fighters!

His management must have really hated him.
