Demsey Mckean vs Browne fight is off so who should he fight.

I am a bit of a fan of Demsey's but he is really untested due to poor opposition. I was hopeful the Browne fight would be meaningful but now it is off I would like to see him fight a top 100 boxrec ranked heavyweight.

Same with Jacob Ng really. Seems to have some potential but hard to get a real line on his level due to his opposition. Be a shame if he and Demsey follow the path of beating easy beats that allow them to manipulate their rankings in an organisation. Then getting beaten easily when they get those big fights against the champs.

At least with Horn and the Maloney twins you could see them fighting credible world class fighters in the years building up to the top level.

I have my fingers crossed for both fighters though.

Sounds like it is going to be an American named Jonathan Rice and ranked 114 on boxrec. Not top 100 but a step up none the less from the stiffs that Demsey has been fighting. Now I just have to see the rest of the card to work out if I will attend.

I am familiar with Rice, regardless of what BoxRec has him, he is a good test for sure.

I just watched Rice's youtube clips and your right. He is big with good power so a good test. From what I saw I think that Demsey will have the skills to beat him. Since Demsey has been with Matrix I think his skills and punching power have really improved. Rice is a big heavyweight and can really bang so it will be a good fight if it comes off.

Although not yet entered in BoxRec, McKean on March 7 faces the equally large American Jonathan Rice (13-4-1) at The Star on the Gold Coast

Victory for either will jump them into the world top 100.

Rice has certainly fought the better opposition based on their records, and will test Demsey's jaw and stamina.

Rice is a really good prospect tester. He gave Yoka a tough fight and has gone longer with KO machine Makhmudov than anyone else has. If you just look at his rating and 13-4-1 you may not be able to tell, but this is one I'm looking forward to. He also moved to Vegas recently to be more serious about the sport.

Wow, I just checked out the card and the opposition for Jacob Ng and Liam Paro. All three main event fights have good opponents and should be a really, really good night of boxing. Should also help in assessing how Mckean, Paro and NG are coming along. Credit to both Angelo Di Carlo and Stephen NG.

Unfortunately I can't get down on 7th March but I will be purchasing it on Epicentre. Can't wait actually.

Jonathan Rice

US opp is next for unbeaten Mckean

Rice is a tough fighter who is better than his record suggests.

this represents a step up for Mckean, if Rice is coming to win it could be an interesting evening

Deep waters stoppage for Mckean.

As expected it looks like Rice came to fight. It's a long fight but im hoping it gets put up on youtube soon.
I haven't seen any footage of Demsey Mckean but his record is beginning to look interesting now for 2020.

I watched the stoppage on Instagram. Rice was landing some good punches of his own until Dempsey hit him with some big bombs. Rice looked like he was gone and fair stoppage. Be interested to see the rest of the fight. Was Dempsey in command by the judges scores?

I just checked the score cards. He was in front about 6-3 after 9.
