“Heterogeneous signal intensity within the talus may represent a bone bruise, however the possibility of a fracture cannot be totally excluded,” Dr. Godreau offered in his medical summary. “Complete tear and retraction of the Achilles tendon as described above with surrounding edema.”

"My injury sustained in the [2nd] round...complete tear (grade 3) verified as per MRI and board certified Dr,” Gamboa stated through his verified social media account on Monday, a note which was accompanied by an image of the official medical report. “I went 12 with Davis and did my best under the circumstances.

“Like I said, [let’s] dance again when [I'm] at 100%."

Wish Gamboa a quick recovery from this bad injury. Gamboa proved he is a real warrior if he went 11 rounds badly injured and he fought back. Tough, tough mofo. :salut: :TU:

Good luck to him on his recovery, and please don't give us the rematch.

Absolute lie.

We all watch sports, I've seen similar injuries in football, tennis, etc. If an athlete injuries the Achilles it's very sensitive, they literally limp off the pitch, it's not an injury you can ignore for a while.

Gamboa was bouncing around the ring for another 10 rounds ffs. He just wants another big purse.
