Bute KO10 anywhere in the world except Germany. In Germany, Sturm by SD (115-114, 115-114, 110-118)

Agreed Giacomino :salut:

Some of those German-based champs just needed to stay on their feet in the 90s and make a few rounds close when they boxed at home

I really loved it when Calzaghe accepted a rematch with Veit and this time in Germany and Joe went over there and busted Veit's backside for a second time. That was actually one of Joe's best wins.

The ironic thing is that despite his history of generous judging, I actually had Sturm beating Murray, Solimon 1, and Oscar of course

Agree but I also didn’t think he beat Hector Velazco to win his first belt, (sd) thought he lost the first fight to Griffin (draw), Macklin (sd) and definitely lost to Chudinov to win his last belt (md). The De La Hoya robbery was in US.

I always thought Sven Ottke’s récord would have been 28-6, rather than 34-0, had he fought anywhere but Germany. Really too bad he wouldn’t fight Calzaghe, but we know the results
